I have been having the same conversation with the same group of people for the past six years now, in relation to a course that my department helps to fund. Yet every year, the same things get all f&cked up. No one communicates with each other, one person can't even use a freaking computer, and none of the people involved are even on campus when the course takes place to deal with the issues that arise.

I have tried to debrief with these people every year about these issues and somehow they never get resolved. Because I am here (and have a brain), I end up having to manage them.

I am really hoping that this course does not get funded next year.

or if it does get funded you are put in charge, get to boss everyone around, fire the dumb people, and get a huge raise!

blahhh, I've been in a similar situation and can imagine how frustrated you must be

my solution was to quit, move out of state and find a job where I only work with one other person...and even he shows his dumb side and makes me want to go Hmm , on occasion

Grrr!!!! I hate those situations. You know it has to be taken care of and because you are a capable, committed individual, you will do it. But you wish that once, just once, the others would be on top of their stuff. ;-)
