I have been with T-Mobile since 02 or so, we are now thinking of switching to Verizon.
Any pros cons to the two?
Re: Verizon VS TMobile
I've had Verizon for 9 years. Only difficulty we had was when I moved off the name contact fo our family plan over to my husband's. But, we did it all over the phone, so it was a bit confusing.
Decent plans, good coverage. Also, check with your employer if you are a MERSC member. My employer is and we get a 22% discount on our plan each month.
One of the biggest differences between Verizon and T-mobile is the GSM network (t-mobile) vs. the CDMA network (verizon). GSM network is best if you travel internationally frequently and use your cell phone. Most of the world uses the GSM network. On the GSM network you can also be on the phone and use your data services (internet) at the same time. CDMA you are not able to do this.
I am a big fan of T-mobile and highly doubt I'll ever leave them. I get a new phone every 18 months for around $200 (by renewing my contract). In December I sold my 18 month old phone (MyTouch) for almost as much as I paid for it on Amazon and upgraded to the MyTouch 4G.
