TPT

hayley is so happy DH made coffee this morning!

Re: TPT

  • Kat is 90% sure she and her DH have found a decent place, ITP. They discussed financials last night and are going back on Sat to hopefully sign a 9mo lease. Her DH does not want to be in an apt longer than that. Confused
    Meet Beyonce Jr.

  • Emmie is wondering if she made the right decision turning down job #1. Emmie is stressing about the job search, she NEEDS to work, it's just part of her.

hayley thinks em should trust her gut...second-guessing makes people crazy, and hayley KNOWS em will find something great!

also...hayley is really excited to "meet" em one of these days at a GTG!

  • Trish is super annoyed today and wishes people would just SHUT UP! She needs some peace and quiet to concentrate on working.
  • Melissa is getting annoyed with her hair. She already has to deal with cowlicks along her crown that make her wear it a certain way, but now they aren't cooperating anymore. She's hoping that a hair cut in a few weeks (post-surgery, pre-vacation) will help. She wonders if it has to do with the length and weight of the hair causing it to act funky. She wants it fixed!
  • Holly just made a super awesome playlist in i-tunes and can't wait for work on Tuesday so she can rock out all day!

  • hayley is SO FREAKING EXCITED she just got this

Lauren suggests that Melissa try Listerine.  She swears it works and has gotten so many compliments on her hair!  Melissa should wash her hair with shampoo and then use 3 capfulls of the brown/yellow/original Listerine (or the off brand).  Leave in her hair for 10 minutes, or as long as it takes her to shave her legs and take care of her other shower necessities.  (Lauren did this, and then got up and washed her hair like she normally would with shampoo and conditioner).  Lauren has noticed that her hair is not frizzy, even when it rains, and Lauren has thick, uncontrollable hair.  Mellisa should give it a shot!

Em agrees about trusting her gut and appreciates Hayley's advice! Em is ALSO excited to "meet" Hayley!

Em didn't realize the GTG was this week- she is emailing SaddleBred now!

Ok, let Melissa get this straight -

    1. wash hair w/ shampoo
    2. put listerine on hair (throughout? how much?) & let sit
    3. wash again with shampoo & conditioner

Melissa's hair is fine & thin. It isn't really straight, but isn't wavy either (see FB). She doesn't have time (or the talent, really!) to straighten or curl it, so she just blow dries it and brushes it out.

What does the listerine do? Just cleanse the scalp? Melissa has some Neutragena cleanser that she uses for that purpose, but admits that she hasn't used it in forever.

  • Em would like to know why it is so dreary and COLD. It was 70 and sunny on Sunday, what happened?! Em admits she is still getting used to the cold again and will try her best to quell her complaints.

     1. Yes.

    2. 3 cap fulls.  Lauren put one towards the front hair line, one in the middle, and then gathered all the ends on top and poured one over that.

    3.  Lauren did this step the next morning.  It's ready to go right after step 2 though.

Lauren thinks it does the following: strips all the buildup off the hair (from product and stuff); put something amazing no-frizz coating on the hairs; makes the hair SUPER soft.  It also does feel tingling and fuzzy on the scalp, but Lauran thinks that's an added bonus.

Added bonus:  Here's what Lauren's friend sent her when she suggested it...

    What she does:
She uses the regular, yellow, Listerine brand Listerine; just buys a big bottle of it. She shampoos and conditions about twice a week, air-dries, combs and/or brushes, that's about it. (I forgot to ask what kind of S/C she uses...but I don't think it's anything special)

Once every other week or so, she'll wet her hair, shampoo it, rinse, condition the length. Then, with the conditioner on the length, she just takes the Listerine bottle and pours it carefully onto her scalp. Then she massages it in, and rinses. That's it. She does say that she's careful not to get too much onto the length.

  • Jaimie wishes she wouldn't have so many "should've listened to me" moments/thoughts with DH.
  • Julie should be organizing the office and getting things put away, but is watching "Millionaire Matchmaker" (lordy the matchmaker sucks at her job IMO) and baking brownies.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Amy scraped her bumper on a concrete pole while parking in her work parking deck today. Her paint is totally scraped off in 3 places and she is really, really pissed at herself for doing this.
  • Emmie is wondering why it is snowing. Emmie thought that all of this mess was over after snowmaggedon.

  • Trish is sad that Emmie won't be coming to ride horses with her next week.
