anyone else trash day messed up because of the snow?

Our trash has not been picked up in four weeks! We are now piled to the top with snow and trash! It seems that the storms wait for our trash days, the town wont pick up on big snow days or sometimes even the day after it snows if its bad enough. :( I just called the town and left a message because to my surprise I returned home to see 20+ bags still in my driveway. Anyone else going through this trash dilemma? As if the snow wasn't bad enough, I have no where to put the trash either! Stick out tongue Ohhh I will be happy when it is spring...

    While the town picked up the trash, ours was omitted.  The plow buried the trashcans  Yes I called to complain. Yes I got no help.  Please feed mother nature chocolate, I am sick of her PMS

    That seems odd - are you sure they're not just picking up the day after their scheduled day?  Our trash day is usually Wednesday but the last couple of weeks it's been pushed to Thursdays because of the snow.  Our town website usually says if it's delayed a day.

    I know.  We actually put our garbage out last night because on the website it did not say that they were delaying by a day.  It just said "No pick up on Wednesday."  So  H put it out....and they didn't come.  Ha ha ha.

    And now I just looked again, and it says delayed one day.  I should have checked late last night, or this morning.

    haha, I originally saw what you did - no pick up Wednesday.  But I just assumed it would be delayed a day.  But we still didn't put our trash out.  oops.

    They've skipped it once or twice but they did pick up yesterday (DH actually just brought the bins back in).
    I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

    Our trash has been picked up every week, but the recycling hasn't for 2 weeks.  I'm close to dumping all my recycling in the trash because its completely overflowing.

    Two weeks ago they didn't come at all... last week was a big mess but they finally came on Friday (to pick up two weeks worth of trash). We misunderstood our condo association email and thought they officially changed trash day to Fridays but I guess not because trash got picked up yesterday. Ooops.

    They finally came, last Friday. The town called me back (I had to leave them a message about the trash debacle) and they said it is usually delayed a day, but their website has not been working and couldnt be posted, so that explains it. Should be all set now, unless we have more snow... which I am praying we do not :(

    ours was really messed up, we had 3 weeks with no pick-up. The town said that trash/recycling pick-up was delayed by a day one week, and on schedule the next, but the garbage truck never showed. Recycling was picked up, but I don't mind holding on to rinsed soda bottles and stacks of newspaper as much as I mind having to store weeks-old kitchen garbage. Fortunately, everything was picked up last week :)
