Pregnant Moms come on in (since the list just shrunk again)

How are you all feeling? Any strange cravings? For those in your first trimester, are you sick? For those in your second trimester, have you gotten any relief yet? For those in your third trimester, are you counting down the days, or enjoying these last few days/weeks before your LO's arrival?

Congratulations again to these nesties -- ktspj, DomsMom09, and MrsRoDeBa -- who have had their babies! Welcome (again) Gia & Liliana, Owen and Jeremy!

But, we still have quite the formidable list here!! Is there anyone else that needs to be added? Any EDD changes? Have you found out the gender or do you have a name picked out? Reply here!!

Re: Pregnant Moms come on in (since the list just shrunk again)

  • i'm the 26th now.  i don't have a lot of m/s, but i found out today i'm in the beginning stages of pneumonia.  it sucks because i never took more than tylenol with cass and i just spent $90 at the pharmacy covering all my new drugs.  ugh.  BUT  i did get to hear the heartbeat again today, so that was awesome!
  • I am 11 weeks today. Went to my final appointment at the RE's office (sad!!) and got a new picture of the bean. I can't believe the comparison of this weeks to four weeks ago. Crazy! Looks like a baby now ;)

I still have bad m/s and am using zofran religiously. It helps...... sometimes. Sometimes it just doesn't matter.

And... I can't go potty. Seriously, I want to die. Doctor gave me some tips to help, so I am going to try all that.

Off to my regular ob on Tuesday. YAY!!

I thought your EDD had changed to the 26th, but I wasn't certain, so I didn't change it on my list until just now. But, now I'm updated!!

Boo for pneumonia! Your baby will be fine, notwithstanding the additional meds. A healthy mom is the best thing you can give your little one right now. Yay for hearing the heartbeat again!!!

Isn't it amazing how even this early they already look like little people? I was on meds for the whole pregnancy, both times. I definitely feel your pain. Hopefully you'll be one of the "lucky" ones whose m/s subsides in the 2nd tri!

As for the constipation, it's unfortunately one of the nasty side effects of Zofran. High fiber foods, drink lots of fluids... You can take colace stool softeners to help when you do actually go. But, I'm sure you already know all of that from your appt today.

The constipation is the worst part.  Its normal to pregnancy, especially first tri, but the zofran & prenatals make it sooo much worse.  Just know that if you can keep eating foods high in fiber, make sure you're drinking plenty of water to keep it moving.  They go hand in hand.  Once I was finally able to keep food down I was eating all sorts of food high in fiber, but wasn't drinking nearly enough water and it made me even more constipated.

I really hope your m/s gets better.  I had a pretty extreme case too, and don't wish it upon anyone!

  • Thanks girls!

    I'm trying!! ;)

  • amy, you're due on my birthday!!!  ha!  SUCH an awesome time to have a birthday, i've always loved having it at the end of the summer.  so fun :)

i'm still feeling good, and in somewhat less denial that this is actually happening.  my weekly doctor's visits have started, and today when she checked, i was 3cm dilated.  yikes!  i know it doesn't really mean anything in terms of when the baby will come, but i'm SO not mentally ready for this yet, i'm really hoping to last until my due date.  but whatever will be will be... just enjoying our last weeks as a family of three for now and stay as comfortable as possible :)

hope all's well with the rest of you all!

  • Still feeling good, no changes to the list for me. But time is flying! I can't believe my ticker will be in double digits tomorrow.

  • Nothing really new here, except I'm in the third trimester! :) Crazy!  I'm feeling good, although I'm getting to the point where it's like, "whoa, I'm enormous!" and doing certain things is difficult.  We're not finding out what we're having and aren't totally set on names.  I cant' believe how close it feels now!

Hope you are all doing well!
