Selling CDs/Garage Sale
I couldn't find the perfect board to post this on so I thought I'd start here since I'm sure you guys do plenty of spring cleaning!
FI and I will be moving back across the country in a few months and he has agreed to get rid of a ton of stuff (yay!) and have a garage sale.
I have found tons of helpful websites about how to market, price etc. My question is about CDs. I have over 100 and all the music is already on my computer so I'd love to get rid of them.
What do you think is a fair price for a used CD? Also, the majority of them don't have a case (at my parents), but I could bring those cases back with me when I visit my parents in a month or so if needed. Would having the case make a huge difference if you were buying a used CD? Lastly, do you think CDs will even sell at a garage sale?
Note: I'm hoping to have our garage sale weeks before we move so that I have time to list what doesn't sell on CL or donate them before we move.

No harm in trying to sell them. If you get the cases, no more than $2 (and even that seems high to me in this day and age) Without, I'd say $0.50. Whatever you don't sell you can take to a store that sells them.

I suggest http://www.half.ebay.com/ to sell books & CDs. When I got my first iPod I ripped tons of CDs onto my laptop and sold a bunch on half.com. It's SUPER easy. You don't have to take pictures or anything, and you can print your own postage, etc.
I think having the case is helpful and does increase the value. half.com will tell you what that disc is selling for, and it's considered to be in better condition if you have the case.
