Restaurants you want to try
There are so many I am wanting to go try. Here's my list:
1. Upper Crust
2. Coach House
3. Inca Trail
4. Nunu's Mediterranean
5. Big Truck Tacos
6. Falcone's
7. Pho Hieu
Re: Restaurants you want to try
Ludivine, and we're planning to soon
Big Truck Tacos (H has eaten there many times without me grr)
RePublic (again, H has been without me)
That Guatemalan place (Critti knows what I'm talking about)
And a few others I can't remember. I follow the CornerBooth blog guy to keep up with local places.
Uh, I've only even heard about 5 and 6 on your list. I'll go with you to any of them momma!
I love Falcone's! It is the most like real New York pizza I have had in Oklahoma.
Let's do it. ASAP
Cocina Guatelinda! Soooooo good! (We think so, anyway - you might ask amanjay for a second opinion. I *think* she liked it.)
I think most of mine have already been mentioned:
Big Truck Tacos
Cheever's
Ludivine (although I don't know if we'll really do this one since it seems like all they have for H is soup and salad)
Nunu's Mediterranean
Saturn Grill
Coolgreens
Somewhere with Pho
The Whole Enchilada Cafe (if I remember, I think Snowful was talking about this one a long time ago? When she has a Mexican restaurant recommendation, I take notes, man.
)
Big Truck Tacos
Flat Tire
Really, anywhere interesting and local.
The Whole Enchilada place is wicked retarded good.'
Maybe we should have a downtown nestie lunch get together there?
I was craving Cocina Guatalinda for the longest time and we finally made it back there last weekend. So good! I just love their tortillas and one of my favorite things are their pupusas.
I have to give a warning about Nunu's... We went there and the guy that made our food didn't take off his gloves when we gave him cash to pay. And then he went right back to food preparation. We never went back.
Pho Hieu is good, but a bit of a drive for us. Personally, I'll stick with one of the Pho places on Classen or Phonemenal on May just for convenience. But I liked their Pho... and I believe they have another special soup that you can ask for that is one of their specialties and now I can't remember the name of it. Bo bo something?
The next places I want to try are West and the Signature Grill. I hope we can make one of those places this weekend!
I've had the carne asada both times we went to Cocina Guatelinda, but I think I will try the papusas next time. My kids love the cheese ones. And their fried potatoes...nom, nom, nom!
That is really gross about Nunus. We may just stick with Cous Cous Cafe and Zorba's.
I think the menu speaks for itself.
Ludivine Menu
I didn't even think of that. I'm so not with it in the world of fancy dining. =P I may try that for a special occasion dinner sometime.
