Okay, I'm having a creative dilemma and can't decide what to do with a piece of my show. I need some opinions. ![]()
The show's Alice in Wonderland and I'm looking at the Caucus Race song (the one when the Wonderland creatures are running around and around trying to get dry). There's a line that says "Donkey and Elephant in a race, elect to race til dry again." I have a little section of choreography focused on two of the actors representing "donkey and elephant" for this section and now that I'm finalizing costumes I can't decide what to do with these two.
The rest of the the ensemble kids in the scene get to decide on any creature that lives under or near the sea. With that in mind...

Re: Want to help with my show? :o)
I got your response after rehearsal (taught them the choreography last night)... and that was my main concern too. They're all little girls in the scene and I was thinking I would have been so bummed if I would have been told I was going to be a donkey and all my friends got to choose star fish, jelly fish, etc...
But once I had them all situated on stage I asked if anyone especially liked donkeys and two girls raised their hands then asked the same about elephants and a few girls raised their hands. So I picked the two closest to the front/center that had raised their hands and they were really excited. I was so relieved!
I'm not sure about how video will work out yet... there are some restrictions with the liscencing so I still need to figure that out.
As for costuming -- Thanks for your feedback! Between most answers saying go for donkey and elephant costumes and the girls liking those animals, I'm definitely going to go that direction!
