It so does not feel like a Friday today. I kept thinking yesterday was Monday, but I'll take it.
I got a call from my dad last night saying that they don't expect my grandfather to live another 24 hours. He's been living at the veterans hospital for the last 2.5 years, and everyone was surprised he's made is this long. We were never close, at all, and I said my goodbyes at Christmas, so I don't really know how to feel about this. It's amazing how a death/impending death brings up thoughts of others.
Sunday we're going to a brunch theatre thing to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat with Derek's family. It was the Christmas present that we all gave to each other. Then maybe some Super Bowl dinner at my parents, because apparently that's happening this weekend? I'm sport clueless.
What does everyone have on the go?
Re: Yay Friday!
Sorry about your grandfather, raynes. Even though you guys weren't close, I still find it hard to lose members of the family. My thoughts go out to you and your family.
We'll have a quiet night tonight, but should be heading out to look at some apartments. It looks like we might have to move in April, and while I'm not looking forward to the process, we're taking it as an opportunity to check out new neighbourhoods.
Sunday I'm heading to a pilates class. It will be the first one in a while, so I'm preparing to be quite sore come Monday. I'm also dragging DH along to it since he can get the first one free. That should at least provide some amusement!

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, Raynes. It's still a tough thing to go through, even without the closeness. Brings up all kinds of other thoughts--and mine are with you and your family.
Finally Friday. Thought it'd never get here. Today I'm treating myself to the tomato cinnamon soup and grilled cheese sandwich they serve down the street. Tonight's a gym night, so typical Friday night. The weekend should be pretty low-key, though I do want to hit the Latino supermarket I recently heard about (and maybe find some pan Mexicano?). Hopefully I can drag H out of the house earlier than usual so we can go before we grocery shop at our regular supermarket.
H asked me what we were doing for Super Bowl Sunday last night and I gave him a funny look because we never do anything and he's not a sports fan. Maybe he has something in mind? I'm game, but that came out of left field.
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.
Raynes - so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Even though you were not close, dealing with death is still hard. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Yay for Friday. This week has been a busy one, and next one will be the same. By the office being closed Wednesday they are requiring OT next week as well.
Zumba kicked my butt lastnight and my legs are extremely sore today. I keep reminding myself that is a good thing.
Tomorrow I have a baby shower for my step-sister and then I finally have a GIRLS night. I haven't been out with just the girls since before I was pregnant. Mind you the last girls night (while I was pregnant), DH went instead. Ha ha. We also have an overnight sitter, so I am hoping to sleep in a little before church on Sunday!
Have a GREAT weekend ladies!
Sorry to hear about your Grandpa.
I'm off work today. Yay! I was on call last night so I have to get in to the hospital at some point to drop off the on call binder. Today I plan on hitting the gym, washing my kitchen floor, going to the bank to let them know of my displeasure with them and some yoga with the husband would be fantastic.
Tomorrow I have a baby shower for DHs cousin. I'm not really looking forward to it since it's at noon or 1pm or something so I have to make sure to get my work out in before that. Otherwise, we'll go to church as usual and then to my friends to watch UFC.
Sunday I'm hoping to get my long run it and then my Dad is having the family over to watch the Superbowl.
Today will be a busy day because I'm still catching up on work from being out of the office on Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday snow day.
I'm bringing my French macaroons to a potluck tonight. They turned out great!... but the filling recipe I used turned out to make a lot more filling than I needed for the cookies we had. So I guess we'll just have to make more cookies soon. Oh well.
I'll be watching the Superbowl with my family on Sunday because we are having dinner at my parents' place for Chinese New Year.
Sorry about your grandfather, raynes.

raynes sorry about your grandpa, losing someone is always difficult. Thoughts and prayers to your family while they go through this difficult time.
Today couldn't come sooner. Hopefully it goes by quickly with few bumps. When I get off work I am going to go and join the gym around the corner. I've been meaning to for days but with me being sick it just didn't happen. Today I am going to do it.
This weekend I plan to go to the yarn store downtown and find some cool yarns that will inspire me with new ideas! I've been making toques for forever I have to try something different, maybe some slippers or fingerless gloves. After the yarn store I am going to a little baker called "the wee cupcake" and I am going to bring home some little treats for me and Ben.
Sunday is always busy but, I'm really looking forward to it.
Raynes - sorry to hear about your grandfather.
Jim and I talked it over last night and we decided that we will go to Vermont in May. There was a good deal on the Old Tavern Inn in Grafton on Haute Looks, so I booked it this morning. We'll take Amtrak up and back. It should be fun!
Tomorrow MIL is coming over for brunch. Then we are grocery shopping and I don't think we have anything else planned.
Sunday we have tickets to a poetry thing at the Kennedy Center. SIL is going to a Super Bowl thing, so no dinner. I don't know what we are going to do.

Sorry about your grandpa
That tomato cinnamon soup sounds fantastic.
I am excited in two weeks I will be in Spain! I need a vacation. I also just bought Dh's valentine's day gift. They had a living social deal here for zip lining. I think he'd really like to do that. He wants to sky dive and I won't do that but I will zip line through the mountains.
Sorry to hear about your grandfather, Raynes. It's never easy to lose family, even if you aren't that close. You'll find your own way to feel and cope with it.
Tonight my friends really want to get together, but DH and I really want a night alone to catch up on some long lost yoga time. Is that weird? I feel like if we go out, we'll get home late and just go to bed...again.
Tomorrow is going to be a cleaning day. We might have some visitors on Sunday, and my house would probably make someone nauseous coming in. It's beyond gross. Sunday is super bowl party time! Thankfully, some friends of ours are throwing the party. I don't want to have to deep clean quite that much.
I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather raynes. Even though you weren't close, the death of a family member always has on impact on us.
We have a really busy weekend ahead but I'm so looking forward to it. Tonight we are going out to dinner with friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. I haven't seen my friends in a few months so I'm sure it will be a good time.
Saturday we are planning to go furniture shopping for LO's furniture, a new couch for our living room, and we need to buy birthday gifts for my goddaughter and Manuel's friends daughter. I also need to bake the cupcakes for the Superbowl parties on Sunday so no resting for me.
Sunday my cousin is having a birthday party for my goddaughter. I plan to go there for a few hours, and then head to my parents for my brothers Superbowl party. My brother has the best Superbowl party every year and I'm really looking forward to it and hanging out with a bunch of our friends. Hope you all have a great weekend!
Sorry about your grandfather Raynes.
Tonight is date night, which will be spent going to the gym, grocery shopping, and then out to dinner.
Tomorrow we'll get the last minute stuff we need for the super bowl party at our house. I intend on going to the gym, and then there's a sex toy party my friend is hosting that I'll make an appearance at.
Sunday: SUPERBOWL and gym that is all.
Boo raynes, I'm sorry about your grandfather.
I've been running around like crazy today trying to get marks into the system so I can finally (!) stop worrying about these report cards. Of course, the system keeps crashing, so I can't get in. YEURGH.
I'm supposed to go out for winterlicious with Phil tonight, but my ear (which has been popping since Christmas b/c of a blocked eustachuan tube) is now into this aching phase, which seriously blows goats. I've bought the neti pot, except is says not to use it if you have a blocked ear, and the nasal spray plus all sorts of sinus draining drugs and nothing is working entirely. Bah Humbug.

Raynes, sorry about your grandfather...
I have had a headache ALL.DAY. and can't shake it. Tylenol isn't doing the trick and I don't want to take anything else since I am in the 2ww. Bah.
Tomorrow I will have to make up the run that I am skipping today because of my headache. Then I have to do the grocery shopping and clean the house.
Sunday we are having a small Super Bowl party. It will probably be pretty low key, though my BIL is planning on getting really drunk, so he might piss me off...we'll see.
