Did you get hit by the snow storm?

I was so happy - we had a snow day today! Apparently it's the first one Toronto has had in 12 years. I got to be super productive and get a ton of marking done.

So, how did you deal?

well, we have certainly had a lot of snow in NYC so far this winter, but unfortunately I woke up to the dreaded "wintry mix" this morning - freezing rain, slush, ice, ice pellets raining down, you name it. i spent 20 minutes standing in it this morning trying to get Bea to go while she just looked up and me shivering, with pathetic eyes. not my favorite way to start a day!!! i would have traded you a snow day for anything.

Yep, NYC was somewhat of a mess yesterday morning. Freezing rain blows. It did warm up a little so stuff was melting yesterday afternoon/evening, but it is BUTT ASS cold now. Plus wind chill. And supposed to snow on Fri. Crying Makes me want to pick up and move home NOW!

Then bebeh can be born in HI too haha.

We didn't get hit with a lot of snow here, but we got hit with FREEZING temps. Wednesday night it got down to -20 and Tuesday had a high of -5...awesome! Now that everythign is thawing out, my office building just had a pipe burst this morning so it's been fun Stick out tongue

i've been silent on fb 'cause a lot of my friends are complaining about the snow.

cali has been beautiful... <=) although last night was a bit chilly, but nothing like the rest of the country is going through....

Aw man, the snow-ice combination is the worst! I hate that.

We totally didn't deserve that snow day - we only got 20cms or so (like 9"), but when they called it at 6:30, it looked like it was going to be as bad as it was in Chicago.

We've had some super chilly temperatures this week too! They kept the kids in for lunch one day, which means, with windchill, the temperature dropped below -28?C. As I went to the subway that day, the air was filled with the sound of engines that didn't want to start. No fun!
