Holiday Gifts (Valentine's, Halloween, etc.)?

Ever since I was little, my godmother has sent my sisters and I cards and small gifts throughout the year for various holidays. Valentine's, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, etc. Is this something that anyone else's family does? I was thinking of starting it up for our niece because I always enjoyed it so much and I was just wondering if I was the only one.

Re: Holiday Gifts (Valentine's, Halloween, etc.)?

  • I think it's a great idea. My mom would buy little things for my brother and I when we were little. I think it would be fun to do that for a niece or nephew.

  • My great aunts did, and it made me feel connected to them even though I rarely saw them. The ones that are left have now sent things to Michael and I think that is so sweet!
  • My grandmother used to do that for my brother and I. I try to do it for my cousin's kids, but it's getting harder! #8 is on the way, and I'm sure another of my cousins will be trying for a baby soon. I'm going to end up broke! haha. But I think it's a sweet idea.

  • My aunt still sends me a card for almost every holiday. I think it is a great idea.

  • Yay! I'm glad to hear that other families do this. Luckily we only have the one niece right now so it will be easy to keep up with.

  • My aunt and one of my cousins do it for Braden, I think it's really sweet :)
