This is why FL schools are so highly rated.

Re: This is why FL schools are so highly rated.

  • Indifferent voted out?! and she's still allowed to teach. yikes.

  • That is absurd!!!!

I can't believe that teach can still teach. What an awful thing to do.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I can't believe she is still actually employed!

Here in NJ good teachers are losing their jobs left and right because of the economy--and this one still has a job!

    Pam said it right-Yikes!

  • I am always amazed at the audacity of some people.
  • Ok, as a teacher, a special ed teacher at that....I am irate.  SO many things wrong here.  That child was protected under 504 laws once the referral for autism began.  Acoording to the article, he was being tested at the time this occured.  While I can attempt to see what she was trying to "teach" with his behavior, kinder's don't understand at their age.  They do what everyone else was doing.  One kid raises their hand, they all do.

She is stupid.  I hope they use the money they get now to put him in a school that specializes in children with Asperger's.

The teacher should have her licensed revoked.

So many things I could say here but it'd all just be "educationese", so, I'll leave it there for now.  Disgusted.

I can say it in plain language: She's a disgusting, piece of crap excuse for a human being.

Thanks, L!  I sometimes get caught up in all the education details of a story like this.  I start talking psychobabble and blah blah blah.

She needs a junk punch.....glitter punch....and a punch in throat.  If my kid was in her class, I would be all up in her stuff before she could see me coming.  Then, I'd pull my kid out of that school.  I hope she doesn't have kids of her own.

  • Seriously, I'd be the one drafting the petition to have her booted permanently.
  • What she did was just plain horrid!  How could you do that to any child?!  I don't care if she knew he was being tested for Asperger's or not - you just don't do something like that.  What bothers me more then her "teaching style" is that she only got basically a slap on the wrist.  That wasn't a simple "Whoops, I made a mistake/had a lapse in judgement".  She knowingly set about to embarrass a young child!  I can't believe she has been allowed back in the classroom with more impressionable, young children!
