Rust and White Clothes

We have a terrible rust problem in our water. Its safe for drinking (but we don't because it tastes HORRIBLE). We've cholorinated the well, told the landlord, but nothing really helps.

Now all of our white laundry is turning a hideous shade of brown. Is there some way I can counteract it even a little bit? I've tried putting vinegar in the rinse cycle, using oxyclean... I have some RIT dye remover I was going to try next, but I'm not sure if I can use that on things with color (for example a while polo with blue embroidery)

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
