I HATE my body

I've been sick for the past 2 weeks. Its gradually gone from just a runny nose to losing my voice and coughing up green stuff. I finally gave in and went to urgent care. The doctor said its a severe sinus infection and gave me antibiotics. I slept pretty much all day today after I got home.

I can handle taking the meds. I can handle the 10 days without alcohol she recommended. I wasn't happy when she told me no exercise for a week. What am I going to do for the next week if I can't exercise?!

Hope everyone is having a better weekend than I am! Have fun tomorrow with the Super Bowl.

  • I'm sorry you're sick :-( your body needs the rest, try to get as much as possible!

  • Try and listen to your body and take it easy for the next couple of days. If the weather's been nicer you could certainly go outside and go for a stroll. Fresh air & walking never hurt anybody!

Yeah I was thinking along those lines this morning. There's plenty of low intensity exercises I can do until my body feels better. And I can probably still weight lift without putting too much stress on my body.

  • Have you tried yoga? It's low intensity and still a great way to stretch and work on your core.

  • I haven't tried yoga before, I'm not very flexible. There is a "gentle" yoga class on Wednesdays at the gym I've been wanting to try. Maybe that can be my replacement for Zumba this week.
  • I'm not flexible either. Yoga is low impact and is a great stretch. I have taken a few beginner yoga classes and I really like it. My gym doesn't offer yoga but there are a couple of yoga studios close by.. Just sucks it's $10 a class.

  • I've found that Yoga makes me more flexible, it's great when you're sick and feel all tight. If you can take a beginner class thats great because it can help you get the right form.
