toy sug. for almost 1 year old
ALMOST 1 year old....carazy!
Anyways, what toy suggestions do you guys have that your LO's love. She has a crapload of baby toys that she is no longer interested in, and I know she is ready for some new things. A few things she has and loves right now:
- music and learning activity table (leap frog)
- the fisher price piano that can play some kind of interactive music learning game on the tv (we havent hooked it up to the tv yet...not cause i am opposed to it, but we have just been lazy. heh.)
- a few melissa and doug puzzles.
- a melissa and doug shape sorting cube (which she does not sort yet, but still plays with)
I am finding that she is less into the electronic type toys and more into the puzzle and wooden things, but am open to all suggestions.
So what other toys do you guys find that your babies love??
Re: toy sug. for almost 1 year old
The learning house!!!

I got Cam's on craigslist for $30! Seriously, the best $30 I've ever spent. She plays with it ALL the time. Everyone else I know that has one loves it too. If you decide you want one, they're always on craigslist - just make sure all the parts are there (4 shapes, 3 balls, 3 pieces of mail and 1 key).
at one cassidy was crazy for those books you can use to point to objects and name them like this or this
she also started really liking baby dolls
L is just a few weeks behind your LO and we have been clearing out alot of her toys as well. Lately she has really been into her music stuff. We have some egg shakers, rain makers, bells and we are getting her this, Mini Orchestra and a wooden xylophone for her birthday.
She is also getting into baby dolls so I splurged and got her one of the baby stella dolls. And she LOVES her plus Olivia dolls. We got them at target and she cuddles(well chews on her snout..lol) with them while we read her the Olivia books.
My kids both loved this from Target...Gave us years of use.

Ben loved puzzles and shape sorters at that too!

I agree with so many of these!!
JJ still loves the learning table at 16 months, so keep that around!
Instead of the Learning House, we have the barn.
We also have the drum/instrument set but he isn't all that interested. He's not really a music kid.
The busy ball popper is a HUGE hit
Anything Melissa & Doug age appropriate is also a huge hit
I can't believe she's going to be ONE!
We got DS an Anywhere Chair shortly after he turned 1.
Toys that were big hits: Cozy Coupe car, and ride-on cars - DD loves them, and DS loves them as well and he's 3 now.
I cannot believe they are almost one!
C is loving:
anything musical- egg shakers, maracas, xylophone, a crazy dog that sings "sugar pie honey bunch" when you press his foot, and a big gathering drum.
interactive books- That's Not My Penguin (and other books similar- That's Not My Monkey, etc), Pat the Bunny, Push the Button, DOG (that's what it's called- real pictures of dogs, you can wag their tail, etc), and CAT (same as dog book)
Melissa and Doug stacking toy
a toy where you hammer in a ball and it rolls down a see through tunnel
Russian-like animal nesting dolls
we are planning to get her the Radio Flyer wagon for her birthday. She has a Cozy Coupe that is still at my mom's house.
wine glasses, lamps with wires, radiators... anything dangerous.
thanks for all of the great suggestions everyone!! super helpful!
lmao....agreed. if she shouldn't play with it she loves it! she is also super into paper. i swear she can be throwing a fit and if i give her a piece of paper it is like magic.
