Got someone else's W2's in the mail...
This is kind of weird. My mom handed me an envelope last night when we were at my parent's house. It had my maiden name printed on a label and then someone hand wrote my parent's address below the label. I opened it up and it was W2's for a different Jenny W. (it said Jenny and not Jennifer). There was an address on the W2's that is NOT my parent's address so I have no idea how it got there. I looked up the address on the Hennepin County Website and Jenny W. is still listed as the owner of the house so we decided to put it in the mail to that address. I hope it gets to the right person!!! It's just very bizarre. I haven't been Jenny W. in 3.5 years and I haven't lived at my parent's address for over 5. I wrote her a little note "from one Jenny W. to another". She's not listed on dexonline.com, but I AM at my parent's address under "Jennifer C. W*****" and my middle name doesn't start with a C!! Weird. Maybe that is where they got the address. But her address was on her W2's! I don't get it. Oh well. I did what I could to fix the situation. :-)

Re: Got someone else's W2's in the mail...
The company might have tried to mail them to her and they were returned to them. W-2s do not get forwarded even if there is a forwarding address.
They might have looked her up, and gotten your parents address and handwrote it on there and resent it.
I would have returned them to the company. We get returned W-2s all the time, and I keep them until the employee calls, and then I resend them to the new address they give me or they come pick them up. I have already had to reprint some since they didn't get them and we didn't get them returned to us either.
Hopefully she will get them.

Hmm... I didn't think of sending them back to the company. Shoot.
Knowing my dad they were put in the mail at 6 a.m. this morning - he gets antsy if stuff isn't put in the mail right away, it's one of his quirks. :-)
Fingers crossed they get there!
That's good to know.
I may never know how it got to ME, but weird things have happened. :-)
