Easter a week before May this year? WTH!

I don't think I have ever seen it THAT late. Isn't it usually late March/early April?
Why ask why, when you know you're going to get a smart-ass answer

Re: Easter a week before May this year? WTH!

  • The only reason I know it's been this late in the month before, is because it's fallen on or near my birthday....and this year my birthday IS on Easter. It is a little later than normal though, because it's been near Dh's birthday before too (March 21st). It all has to do with full moons and such...not exactly sure the details.

  • Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox. It is very late this year, just as it was very early two or so years ago. It makes for a long Epiphany. Working at a church, need to know this stuff ;-)

  • Yea, it's gonna suck at one job. We have exactly 2 weeks between Easter and mothers day. That will be interestingto figure out how we are goingto merchandise both holidays at the se time. And have them both in prime locations.
