I while ago I posted about having some serious pain during and after sex. You who answered suggested that I get to my primary asap and I did. Yeast infection as you guessed. I've taken the oral med, waited a couple days plus a couple for everything to clear up and my symptoms seem to have gone away.
H and I had sex for the first time since and everything went OK. (thank goodness!). But....I still hurt to pee right afterwards. There wasn't any bacteria on my culture, so I've ruled out yet another infection and am now leaning toward a poor lube issue.
Any suggestions on a good no-frills lube? I've decided to stay away from scented/tingling (we have scented right now) since I think it may be a sensitivity issue.
TIA! (now I'm off to work the night shift, so have a awesome Friday night, all!)
Re: Update and Lube questions
My next question would be (and I know it might be controversial): why do you need lube? Are you spending enough time in foreplay so that you are really ready for intercourse? Do you need lube from the very beginning or after a period of thrusting? If you get dry, is he willing to perform more oral sex on you to replenish your moisture?
I might try contacting one of the reputable sex toy stores and ask them what they would recommend. Good Vibrations offers a great many lubricants, some water based with or without glycerin.
Here is their lube listing page:

I am with her on this one. Gotta get that good foreplay time in. Does he not want to put the work in? Act as teenagers and let him "dry hump" you. Guaranteed, this will work out. I believe good vibes also created "Good Clean Love" which is great for those hypersensitive ones out there. Good luck and thanks for the update!
Thanks, ladies!
I'm sure we could always put more time into foreplay. I'll look into all of your lube suggestions and find one that is fabulous, I'm sure!
I know it sounds weird, but use coconut oil. It smells great and is a natural antifungal which can help with the yeast infections.
You can get it at your local vitamin store (i.e. GNC, Vitamin World, etc.)
I even checked it out on the internet and it comes highly recommended from multiple friends! Plus, it's all natural!
I second eros! It is water based so doesn't get sticky like KY
