Imagine my surprise when I googled my username...

...and saw that in Oct 2009, there was a post here where people were wondering what happened to various Knot members after their weddings.

I never migrated here because well, I don't know. I figured everyone would be off having babies and making a home together and everything that I had already done and was done doing.

Since our wedding we've just melted into life. I've done a lot of painting in the house, we built a huge garage, purchased an RV and went on our delayed honeymoon...which was fabulous. A seven-day Caribbean cruise that allowed us to dive in the ocean for the first time.

Other than that, it's just been plain old life for us.

  • I remember you!!  Although I'm not sure what user name I was on at that point.. MrsFancyPants probably, lol.  I'm totally jealous of your Caribbean vacation!

  • It was such a fantastic vacation; I'd go back in a heartbeat. Seven different tropical ports. We definitely saw some gorgeous scenery and some gaggerific scenery. We had a photo ruined by some old woman in Dominica who was sitting on the sidewalk, up against a crumbling building wearing a skirt and no knickers and we didn't even notice it until we were home showing the photos to friends/family. Aaack!

My maid of honor and her boyfriend went with us and it was the perfect mix of having someone with us that we knew and could share dinner with, and having our own time alone. While I've always thought a cruise would make me feel trapped, it really didn't and we are planning more future trips.

FYI, if you ever go, get the cheapest room unless there's a good reason to have a balcony (I would only spring for a balcony room for the Alaska cruises or maybe the Panama Canal ones). You only sleep in it, so save your $ for the excursions.
