I love the Black Eye Peas and I have (had?) them on my list of concert I want to go to. Um until tonight. I thought they sounded HORRIBLE. Like really Fergie you should never sing outside of a studio again.
Has anyone seen them in concert? Was this just a bad night b/c I'm floored at how bad it was.

I will give the fact that at least this years performers did not need oxygen and medics on stand by. Half time shows have sucked since Janet.
this is exactly what i was thinking!! Their energy level was no where near what I expected considering the energy level of their music. I also think part of the horrible performance should be blamed on the sound crew. Hopefully it sounded better in the stadium, but the mics not being turned on at the appropriate times is completely unacceptable for a music performance like that one.
Oh man, I was so disappointed at the performance since I like their music. I really think Usher should have finished the show, heh.
I do appreciate the fact that this year's group is more relevant to current music trends than the years since Janet's boob incident. Damn you Janet and Justin for ruining any chance of a good Superbowl show for years to come!
Actually I think Fergies microphone being turned off was an improvement LOL.
Seriously though she ruined Sweet Child O'Mine for me.
I didn't, however, enjoy the butchering of our national anthem.
Eh I dont give them any credit for signing live. They are performers, its supposed to be what they do. How many live concert have they performed? Faulty mics only take you so far Fergi was off key and shouting for most of it.
I missed the Anthem. I was working until 7pm so I didnt get home to turn the game one until after 8pm. Ill have to look it up on you tube.
We have seen ppl in concert that usually sound amazing in a dome and the acoustics there were just awful. Those venues are not built with that stuff in mind. It was very very cool with the lights and the dancers.
I didn't watch the halftime show last night so I just googled and got it on youtube. I feel like Fergie always sounds awful. She has a raspy voice. BEP put on a good show but like pp said, stadiums are not built for concerts and sound. Usher was great. Love Usher.
On a side note, H and I went to see the Rolling Stones once at GIllette. We left after 20 minutes b/c the show was so horrible. (Also, our friends that were suppose to be there with us bailed so it was just us and we had no interest) but we left b/c it sounded horrible! And I've been to other concerts at Gillette that sounded great.
