How do you make pasta salad? I usually just add pesto, olives and artichoke hearts, but I know that a lot of people don't like that - so I am looking for someone's tried and true recipe to use for Fin's party

Re: Pasta Salad recipe?
One that is really easy is a Ham and Cheese Pasta Salad my family makes.
1 lb pasta, cooked. Usually use elbow
1 lb cheese, cut into cubes
1 lb ham. I buy the precooked ham steaks. Cut into cubes.
Mix the 3 together. Add miracle whip to the pasta. Enough so that everything is coated. You can add a little milk to thin the miracle whip. Also salt and pepper to taste.
Otherwise I made this Garden Pasta Salad for my reunion and it was really good.
Another suggestion is a Tuna Pasta Salad.

I usually just make the pasta & add cut up mozerella or pepperjack, cut up pepperoni and sometimes black olives. Just coat with Italian dressing and let chill. Then when it's about to serve I toss in more dressing.
I also have a really good recipe for pasta salad that you make with roasted red peppers, but it's pretty involved (cooking peppers, blending to make sauce, etc.). It has chickpeas I believe, and more cut up peppers. It's in a cookbook, but I can copy/scan it for you tonight if you can remind me and send me an email address.
I love pasta salad, I use....
1 box of penne pasta,
1 container of feta cheese
1 container of cherry tomatoes cut into halves
1 small can of chopped black olives
1 pepper chopped into small pieces. (I like to use yellow to give it more color.)
Then coat with balsamic dressing and let chill. (I use a Kroger brand italian dressing mix made with balsamic vinegar instead of white vinegar.)
I have a few different ones that I love:
Pepperoni Parmesan Pasta Salad
Italian Pasta Salad
Summer Orzo Salad
