PIP your favorite ice cream! (if it's a build your own a la Coldstone, PIP the flavor and your favorite mix ins!)
Re: PIP Day 15
If a picture could be in large, bold, italic letters, I would do that here:
DH knows that when I ask him with puppy eyes to go to the store and get me some ice cream, this is the only kind to get me. Loooooove it.
I usually go all sorts of ways at Coldstone, but if I had to pick one ultimate favorite ice cream ever, I'd choose this baby:
Plain old vanilla! Sometimes I like cookie dough in it too:)

I'm not even a huge chocolate fan, or marshmallow, but seriously - this is heavenly.
I'm so fickle with my favorites. Lately it's:
Half baked is really good. Yum!
I love spumoni ice cream:
and Pavarotti, which is a flavor local to MN's Sebastian Joe's Ice Cream. It is caramel and banana icecream with chocolate chunks. Delish. Top that goodness with hot fudge and whipped cream.
Zuma Zoom
That is my favorite but Ben & Jerry's Sweet Cream & Cookies is my 2nd favorite
Coldstone Sweet Cream with
Stand up for something you believe in.
Brownie Batter Blizzard!!!!!!!!
Purple Cow! This isn't a picture of the actual ice cream, but it looks just like it. It comes from Sassy Cow Creamery... about 15 minutes from my house. Its black raspberry with brown and white chocolate chips. Yum!
Jeni's Salty Caramel. Jeni's is located in Columbus Ohio and was featured on the show "The Best Thing I Ever Ate." It's all locally made.. the container even says which dairy the cream came from. It's expensive, but SO worth it. I may go get some today, as a matter of fact.
(And for the semi-local girls, I know Dorothy Lane Market here in Dayton sells it.. there might be somewhere in Cinci too! If you love ice cream, you MUST EAT THIS)
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
homemade vanilla bean ice cream! I'm so hooked. I'll never buy ice cream again. I'm anticipating an experiment making 3 different bathes with different vanilla beans - Tahitian, Madagascar, and Mexican. Most recent batch was with a Madagascar vanilla bean:
I've heard so much about Jeni's that I tried to convince my family to take a 3 hour detour just to get to their store (they laughed at me). But I hear there's a gourmet grocery store an hour from me that carries it.
DO IT.
We live about an hour from Columbus, and last summer we went to the zoo for DH's birthday and then went to Jeni's. We each ate some ice cream there, then decided to buy some pints. Well, if you buy 6 pints they give you a cooler and dry ice so it gets home safely. After all the ice cream we bought and ate, and ice cream sandwiches to eat on the drive home, we spent like $80 on ice cream.
It's definitely expensive, but definitely worth it.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I love freshly made ice cream even better. I really wish more ice cream joints were open year-round
