Mondays...

I hate Mondays.

I didn't always hate Mondays. In fact, I've found that I only really hate Mondays when I don't like where I'm going. And while I'm thankful to be working and I'm trying very, very hard to adapt to this new job...I know it's temporary, and I know that it's not what I really want to be doing in a "forever and ever/career" sense. Those factors make Mondays suck more.

Do you hate Mondays? Why do you hate Mondays? Or do you like Mondays, and - if so - what do you think causes such disdain for Monday in general?

Re: Mondays...

  • I didn't like Mondays when I was employed. Now? I prefer them because it's our weekly meal planning/Aldi trip day. It's the small things. :)

  • I hate them... work in general is miserable so really Monday isn't that much worse than the other weekdays but at least on Tuesdays its tortilla soup day meaning I get to go out to lunch with my work girls and I have my weekly doctors appointments now so that breaks things up.  Wednesdays generally suck, Thursdays I go to lunch with DH generally to our favorite Mexican place and Fridays are good because its almost the weekend again.

Typing that out makes it sound like I'm wishing my life away... I so need a new job so I dont have to feel like this.

  • I don't like Mondays either. The weekends are great when DH is home and it is the three of us just relaxing and being a family. To make Mondays more tolerable, I signed A up for gym-n-swim at the Y in the morning. It gets us out of the house and starts my week off on a good note.

  • I'm not a fan of Mondays, but I hate Tuesdays more because that means spinning class, which I love and hate at the same time. It's just hard to get your a$$ kicked at 5am!
  • This semester I don't hate Mondays because I have a 3pm class so I don't have to get up early. This particular Monday however I was up at 6am. Why? Because my darling husband ate two dozen buffalo wings last night and woke up nauseated and miserable. I warned him to stop but nooooo, he didn't listen to me. Anyway, I was lucky to have an anti-nausea med on hand so I dosed him up, gave him some Coke to sip and told him to pull it together so he could make it to work. Might sound mean, but he really needs to save his sick days for a root canal and an eye exam later this month.

  • I hate Mondays. I look to Garfield for inspiration:

So, I hate Mondays because they're always hectic and I'm always tired. I sleep in on Saturday and Sunday, and then I can't sleep come Sunday night. So I go to bed at midnight (if I'm lucky), but have to be up at 6:30 to get ready for court. Today I was in court until after 6pm. Not a fun start to the week. But at least I was being paid to be there. I feel bad for the "customers" we didn't get to until 5:00pm because they were there all day without getting paid.

We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.
