Well, that was an interesting weekend.
I got a text from my dad Saturday morning letting me know that my Papa had passed away around 2am. The visitation/memorial/service thingy is this Thursday. I'm doing fine, I think I sort of said goodbye a long time ago, but my brother isn't taking it too well.
Sunday we got together with Derek's family for brunch and theatre, which was really nice. We watched the Super Bowl at my mom's house and ate way too many chicken wings.
How was everyone's weekend?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Morning.
I'm sorry, Raynes.
My weekend was pretty good. I was off all weekend for the first time in a long time and I have today off as well.
We decided to get our groceries done on Friday night to free up all day Saturday and Sunday which turned out to be a great idea. Saturday we had a baby shower to go to and then went to chuch and to watch UFC at a friends house.
Yesterday I got my 9 mile treadmill run in, did lots of shopping to finish decorating out bedroom and DH and FIL put everything up (I'll post pics later). Then I went to Dad's house to watch the Supebowl.
All in all, I ate pretty poorly this weekend and feel gross now and can't wait to get back on track.
I'm sorry, Raynes. But I am glad you're feeling fine.
This weekend was good. I managed to get to the Latino supermarket--and it was awesome. I found my pan Mexicano and a lot of other stuff that's harder to find around here. And it's on the way to the Giant. Yay! But I have to make sure to not go there that often.
Got two great runs in and managed to finish a really good book. Also talked to my parents, and they told me they'd be visiting in March. It'll be my dad's first visit to our apartment (he was kind of old-fashioned and wanted to wait to visit once Josh and I were married), so I'm excited.
Looking forward to next weekend already.
Good morning!
Raynes I'm so sorry about your loss.
I had a good weekend got a lot of house work done. On the downside I didn't get enough homework out of the way. Saturday night we had a movie night with some close friends and they anounced to us that they were getting married and wanted us to be their matron of honor and bestman.
Yesterday like most people, we watched the superbowl and had some family over.
So sorry raynes. My thoughts go out to your family.
We had a good weekend. Spent Saturday walking through some potential neighbourhoods, but nothing we really liked. Sunday we went to pilates class for the first time in ages (first time ever for DH) and we are definitely feeling it this morning! I cooked up boeuf bourgignon for dinner last night, which was oh so good. I'm looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow!
The superbowl was on pretty late for us, so I didn't really watch. I had trouble sleeping though, so got up and turned it on thinking it would be fun to at least see some of the commercials. After 30 min or so, I realized that (a) I was watching on the BBC which is a commercial free station and (b) even if they were playing commercials, they wouldn't be the good ones that are shown in the US. Boo.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
I'm so sorry, raynes.
I had a pretty good weekend. I spent Friday judging the MBA case competition and it was awesome. It was all students who had been accepted into the program but have not started classes yet. They were competing for a full ride scholarship. The winner flew in from Brazil. These future MBAs had some amazing talent considering that they haven't taken a single MBA class yet. After that we had a banquet to announce the winners. It was all a lot of fun.
Yesterday I worked on getting my house back in order up until the game. Then we went over to a friend's house to watch the game. They have an adorable 4 month old puppy who was bouncing around most of the time. Now I'm exhausted from drinking and whatnot last night. Is it Friday yet?
I'm sorry, Raynes.
My weekend was alright. My MIL came over Saturday morning for a little bit and that was about all we did.
Sunday was church. I tried to give blood and made the cut off for deferral after the m/c and then failed the iron level. After church we went to a poetry thing at the Kennedy Center that was part of the JFK birthday celebration. It was very good.

Raynes, I am sorry about your loss, but glad to hear you are doing ok.
My weekend was busy. I had a baby shower Saturday afternoon, then had a ladies night Saturday night. Let's just say when I have an overnight sitter it is not wise to stay up until 2:30 a.m. and then pick the boys up the next morning. I am beyond exhausted.
Yesterday was filled with getting the boys, getting a few things at the store, laundry, and WAY to much eating. I think I gained 2 lbs this weekend.
On a side note, I am no longer wearing maternity pants! I can finally wear some pants that fit my "twin skin."
Friday night was a bust for trying to get some alone time with the hubs. He took my relaxation as a sign I was hunkering in for the night and went out with his brother. Random, but oh well. His loss I suppose.
Saturday I slept as much as possible and got some time in with family later in the afternoon. DH cleaned while I entertained. Worked out great. I had no desire to clean teh bathroom that hasn't been done in probably 2 months. Ewww. I know.
Sunday we fought more leaks in the basement from the roof and slept in for a bit, but nearly not enough for me. I ate like a pig at a friend's Super Bowl party. I think my stomach is paying for it today, but that might be my pants fitting too tight. I finally ordered some bigger clothes, so hopefully relief is in sight.
I agree...is it Friday yet?
Sorry Raynes
I had a nice quiet evening in on Friday through most of Sat afternoon (P went to the city to hang out and go to the 'nova game)... I got a lot of chores done and bunch of other silly stuff on my to do list.... yesterday I ran some errands and watched the game...
so happy the packers won!! I've been a fan since I was 13, so it's nice to know sticking with them was worth it... (i grew up forbidden to root for the eagles since my dad is cowboys fan)

Good morning everyone.
Raynes, I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa but glad that you are doing ok.
This weekend was pretty good. Friday, B and I had a relaxing dinner at home and watched Bridge on the River Kwai. I had never seen it, and it's got me pumped about watching other Oscar winners and old movies.
Saturday morning, we went out to the suburbs to see our nephews. Our five-year-old nephew can be such a brat. At one point, B knocked over our nephew's lemonade by accident, and our nephew just lost it like the world was coming to an end. I tried to teach him what the phrase "man up" meant, but it didn't work so well.
Saturday evening we had friends over for pizza and a movie. We watched Salt, which was just ok.
Sunday, I spent the morning with my mom, who I hadn't seen in ages, and then ran some errands and watched some of the Superbowl. I also booked the train tickets for our trip from Munich to Venice and wound up saving about $400 from what we had budgetted. Totally excited.
Sorry for your loss, raynes.
katsblaze - that's awesome about your pre-maternity clothes! Good job!
We had a pretty good weekend. Saturday we used a Groupon and had a huge lunch at a chichi dim sum place. Yesterday we had a big Chinese New Year dinner at my parents' place. Only thing that puzzles me is that my dad seemed to be kind of grumpy and I'm not sure if I did something to upset him. He's gotten really mopey and passive aggressive lately.

raynes: *hugs*
We had a relaxing weekend. I wasn't feeling well on Friday, so after dinner we gave our tickets to Sarah McLachlan away to some young couple at the restaurant. Hopefully they enjoyed the show. We went home, talked and I don't regret not going at all.
Saturday and Sunday we lounged around. DH is traveling for work this week, so I wanted to stock up on some cuddles and quality time.
Good Morning!
So sorry for your loss Raynes.
Weekend was good...we layed low Friday night, finally got around to watching The Social Network.
Spent most of Saturday packing, and dumpster diving for cardboard boxes. We refuse to pay for moving boxes. Saturday night we met up with bunch of friends for drinks and had a great time.
Sunday we met DH's cousin and sister in the city for brunch. Then it was off to a friend's Superbowl party where I ate more than I care to discuss. All in all, a great weekend full of food, friends and fun!
I'm sorry about your grandpa raynes.
I had a busy weekend and I'm exhausted today. On Friday we went out to dinner with friends to a great Chinese food restaurant. I can't wait to go back there again. Saturday we were out running errands all day. I was on my feet and walking around and a ton, and then I went home and baked cupcakes. Sunday I frosted and decorated the cupcakes, then went to my goddaughter's birthday party, and my brother's Superbowl party after that.
Today my feet hurt, my back aches, and I'm tired, but I had a really nice weekend. I hope I don't have that much to do in one weekend for a long time.
I know, I know. I was really sad. I really tried powering through, went to dinner and hardly ate 5 bites, I just couldn't do it, so I knew hanging around downtown for 2 more hours before the show wasn't going to happen. Hopefully the young couple we gave our tickets to enjoyed it. And hopefully I'll be able to see her again sometime.
I'm sorry for your loss Raynes, I hope your family find peace.
I'm feeling really tender today as a result of a Superbowl WIN!
This weekend was fun, I played with my niece during the game and now have 2 Bella foot sized bruises on my chest from "playing cheerleader". Today I normally have class but it's online this week (yay!). I plan on watching last nights Glee on DVR, and then maybe going to my first Zumba class, however I am so freaking exhausted I may just stay home and read this book I have to read for class.
Wait, isn't it weekend yet?
Today has been a long, terrible day. My kids were not prepared for class and were whiny, then I got an awesome (as in horrible, see post above) email from a parent right at the end of the day.
The weekend was fine. Ed was sick on Saturday. Sunday we planned a Super Bowl party, but one couple bailed on us, so it ended up being just DH, BIL, and FSIL...and I went to be at half time.
I can't wait for this weekend to get here...I will be on vacation and heading to Florida!

Sorry for your loss, Raynes. My grandma passed away last Friday.
My weekend was good - Saturday was running errands and buying paint for the baby room, then Paul and his bff painted the room while I did housework downstairs. Even though it was "VOC free" paint, it still smelled like paint fumes upstairs. On Sunday we visited with Paul's parents and then watched a movie with some friends. It was a pretty relaxing weekend.
