Random (Long) Stroller/Bike Question
I have a BOB Revolution that I use for jogging with Eli. I also have a Wee Ride Bike seat we used last summer. I know he will be too big for the bike seat this summer, so I would like to get a bike trailer to use with him. He is also getting a bit tall for the BOB, so I was thinking about getting a Chariot Cougar that could be used for strolling, biking, jogging, and even x-c skiing with the attachments. They are super pricey though although I have seen them on Craig's List.
However, we do plan to start TTC this summer and we would be hoping for the arrival of #2 around Eli's 3rd birthday. So, I am wondering if I should get a double Chariot, so that I don't need to invest in something else later. But by the time #2 would be big enough to ride along on any type of jog or bike ride Eli would be at least 3.5, closer to 4. Would he even want to ride at that point? I know he would probably rather not ride in it at that age, but with DH's work schedule I don't really have another option but to bring him if I want to go out.
Another thought is that I would want to get a double stroller of some sort anyway to use from the beginning with 2, so a double Chariot could be used as a regular stroller as well since there is an infant insert you can get. But would it be weird to use with just Eli for the time being? It can be adjusted for 1 kid, but is obviously bigger than the single.
I know this is super trival and silly, but I can't decide what to do, DH thinks it is all crazy and I would like to be able to keep an eye on CL for a good deal. Seems weird, and very hopeful, to plan around a #2, when who even knows if/when that will happen.

Hmm. that's tough. I'm totally with you on your thought process.
Honestly, since its looking like #2 may be in a little bit, I would maybe go for the single. You can always sell it towards a double later, or find that Eli isn't into it and that you don't need a double at that point.
That being said, if you were to find a great deal on one on CL (the double), then its fate
Oh I'm getting something either way. My dilemma was the single vs the double, but I like the thinking of grabbing a good deal on either that comes along and letting fate decide that way.
