Wedding cake in freezer...
So we are super dorky and freezed the top tier of our wedding cake. It was mainly because our reception site set it aside so no one would eat it...
Anyways, we were in Jamaica for our anniversary, but we are going to take out of the freezer next week-end.
My main question is should we take it out and let it thaw on our kitchen counter or let it thaw in the fridge?
We are pretty sure it is going taste disgusting, but hey we have to try : )

We froze our top layer and ate it this summer on our anniversary, and it was surprisingly still good! We let it defrost in our fridge over night, and it wasn't freezer burned or anything (thanks to my mom's excellent packaging skills). Our cake had buttercream frosting, and that was the only part that was kind of off tasting, but the rest was pretty good, considering that it was in our freezer for a year :-)

Ditto this. The frosting was a little off...but the cake was still delicious! We did some serious damage to it!

We let our cake defrost in the fridge. It was really good the first day, but when DH went to have a slice the second day he said it was super dry and we threw it out.
Our cake was gross after defrosting it. We pretty much each had one bite and threw the rest out! We have a pretty old fridge/freezer, so that was probably part of the problem...
Oh well, we tried!
