must have cleaning supplies! I am looking for some new cleaning supplies, but want to get some recommendations from you ladies on what you think works best. The ones I am looking for specifically (although feel free to share any that you use):
Oven cleaner
Shower cleaner
Kitchen counter cleaner
Anything that will clean my darn dirty doors! I have scrubbed and scrubbed with a million different things and seriously nothing works! Any ideas will be happily accepted! Thanks ladies!
Re: Share your....
Oven cleaner--- not sure
Shower cleaner---I am a fan of the Clorox shower spray, traditional comet, and the clorox bleach pen for the grout.
Kitchen counter cleaner---Clorox 4 in 1 kitchen cleaner or we sometimes use the all natural cleaner (dh likes it but not a fan myself)
Oven cleaner - got nothing. I've only gone over the stove a few times with clorox wipes since we moved in.
Shower cleaner - scrubbing bubbles is the best invention ever! Spray on, let it foam up and sit for a few minutes, then wipe off/scrub the bejesus out of it.
Kitchen counter cleaner - Clorox wipes, and 2 times a year or right after cutting raw meat, soft scrub.
The best shower cleaner, especially if there is any build up, is vinegar. It stinks, of course, and I usually would follow it with something like Scrubbin Bubbles. My apartment I lived in before moving into our house had awful hard water and I would have to vinegar the shower quite often. I just would spray it on and let it sit for a while then wipe down. Vinegar is a miracle cleaner....you can use it to clean your washing machine (if it takes a long time to fill or is otherwise scummy) Run it on hot (empty) and dump some vinegar in it (follow with an empty load with detergent to get rid of any odor).
I also swear by Mr Clean Magic Erasers. They might work on your doors.
Kitchen counter cleaner I use Green Works.
I am cheap and green I use vinagar for everything. (Add a scent oil too it if you hate the smell). I add baking soda for hard stains and things needing elbow grease.
I also use clorox wipes for a quick pick up in the kitchen (not so green but easy).
I'm a fan of traditional power Comet mixed with water and scrub with an old toothbrush for the shower. We also use an Arm & Hammer post-shower spray (that you spray and just leave; no need to wipe down).
For stove/kitchen cleaning: I've been using Fantastic spray, but don't like it. I just bought a Green Works spray for when my Fantastic runs out.
I also use stainless steel scrubbers for hard to get spots on the stove-tops (they were in the sponge/scrubber section of Target). They're also safe to use on on stainless steel pans and are amazing at getting tough stains off.
I too like Magic Erasers for random scuffs on doors and walls. I bought the cheapo Target brand version and they seem to work just as well.
