Especially not the Monday after Superbowl Sunday.

We went to my friends' party last night, but got home at a fairly reasonable hour. And I think I had a total of one glass of wine. But it was a long, tiring weekend. Between going to the brewery Friday night, working Saturday morning, then my friend's birthday party Saturday night, getting up at 6 a.m. to load the car for the craft fair, worked at the fair all day (it was crappy, very very crappy) and then heading straight to the Superbowl, I was wiped out this morning.

And then this morning I had to be in a municipal court at 9 a.m., at a court that was about an hour away. Got there 8 minutes of, sans coffee, only to find out that the prosecutor was over half an hour late. Got back to my office (thank god I stopped for coffee and a danish on the way) to find a new client waiting for me, who dragged out the meeting that should've been 15 minutes, maybe 20, to 1.5 hours... just in time for me to rush back off to court for 2:30. My client was late, the prosecutor later. Finally we put through a plea, and then I went to probation with my client to set him up there. Back to my office, just in time for a 6 p.m. meeting with another client who had to sign his divorce complaint.

I got out of my office after 7 p.m... with the 3 huge files for my 3 cases tomorrow morning, all of which I have to review tonight.

I'm so tired.

It feels like it never ended and I didn't sleep. I did a mud mask and fell asleep sitting up, waiting for it to dry, woke up about an hour later, washed it off, and crashed. I'm not even sure what time E came up to bed. Now I'm getting ready for my 8:30 court appearance; gotta leave in half an hour. I don't even know what suit to wear. I really, really want to call in sick.

Holy sh!t. I had 2 cases on for 8:30 this morning. I race to court, fighting gross rain, crazy traffic, and streets closed for snow removal. And guess what no one told me? One case is off and the other on "ready hold" for 11 a.m. so now I go back to my office and then wend my way back for 11. I should've followed my instincts and called in sick.

The brewing is going. He's kegging an awesome stout very soon. But there was no restaurant... do you mean the brewery that's now carrying our beer soap? I know they've had a couple sales, at least.
