happy tuesday morning

Yes? No?

I have an absolute ton of work to do but I'm just not motivated yet. I had an interesting past 2 days.

Sunday we went to BILs bar for the superbowl and I got suckered into playing beer pong. Its been 5 years since I've played. The beer pong gods were on my side and I ended up making it to the final round and coming in second place. Woo Hoo! I was all impressed with myself until I woke up the next morning feeling like absolute death.

Yesterday I spent all day in NJ in training. I think my eyes glazed over around noon. We didn't get home until 6. And last night I attempted to kill our dishwasher accidentally. A spatula fell out of the utensil holder and landed on the heating coil thingie and my apartment smells like a steamed silicone burnt mess.

So talk to me, I'm feeling chatty today :)

Re: happy tuesday morning

  • i think it is well documented that i hate tuesdays.  today is no exception. i am super busy and hope to be done here on time so i can go to the gym today.

last night had a rough night with ger--he had the day off and didn't do a single.thing.  i mean, he ate and watched tv.  never got dressed, never brushed his teeth, never spent the 15 minutes i asked him to spend cleaning the kitchen from all of the food i made for his ass over the weekend.  i know he deserves a day off, he works more than anyone i know, but on my days off, i dont just sit around.  i cook, i clean, i grocery shop, i do the laundry...i need him to do the same things for me!  i mean, since we have moved, he has helped me clean the house a total of 2 times.  in the last four years, he has cooked me dinner ONCE.  all i want, on his day off that i have to work is the same respect i give him on days that he has to work that i have off--he comes home to a clean house, with foods he loves in the pantry, dinner on the stove, and i let him chose what to watch on tv.

needless to say, it was a bad night.

  • I'll let you know how I feel about Tuesday later but right now it's blah.

Yesterday was omg so freakin' busy. I barely had time to pee. I even made the comment to my speech facilitator (after two back to back meetings) when she asked how I was, I said "I can't tell you where I'm going because I don't know where I've been." Yes that's been my year with three freakin' schools. Today is looking to be the same. I have another meeting in a few minutes and then therapy all day and inbetween those, it'll be finishing paperwork.

I do have good news though...Jeremy has his GED!!! I'm so freakin' proud of him for accomplishing this goal for himself. He was so stoked all day yesterday. So we had a celebratory steak dinner last night.

    Now going to the meeting...

  • Shauni - I know how you feel. H isn't working right now and sometimes I just want to strangle him when I come home and absolutely nothing is done. Seriously, take out the trash, pick up your clothes off the floor, something.

I'm sorry everyone is having such crappy Tuesdays. I'm trying not to let the fact that I'm doing someone elses job when I'm ridiculously busy get to me and hoping that because it feels like a Monday to me this week will go fast(er).

  • My Tuesdays going great so far!

I was told I had a pay raise when on 1-17-11 but it hasn?t showed up in either of my checks since, I was told I wasn?t getting retro, and then this morning my boss gave me a gift card for the difference. So it?s looking up Kristin, this Tuesday!

And when I get home hubby?s off today so I get to spend the day with him J

    Cheeks!

  • Bibbity bobbity Tuesday sucks. I hate Tuesdays more than more. MORE THAN MORE! I think they are the most useless day of the week - Monday begins the week. Wednesday crosses the line from beginning of week to end of week. Thursday primes you for Friday. Friday ends the week. Tuesday sits there like a fat smelly turd and provides nothing good. And those are my thoughts on Tuesday.

Last night I went to the library to return books and pick up a few on hold. All late fees were waived due to the shiteous weather of the past few weeks.

At home I ate, watched Vampire Diaries, 30 Rock, 90210 and Gossip Girl on DVR while MFD watched his nature programs in the basement. I made lunch and packed my gym bag. Read a bit and was asleep by 11:30.

I slept in again today. I have a proposal to do today and need to finish up my budget for this year.

You are not alone, my friend. MFD and I have been in the boxing ring quite a few times over this. It takes 20 minutes to load the dishwasher, wipe down the kitchen, wipe the toilet seats, and pick your crap up that's laying around the house. If only one of us does that, it's a problem. Two people live there, two people need to contribute. I hope G got on your wavelength.

  • I started a new post my Tuesday has started out so sucky.

I agree with the annoyance when Hubby's don't do anything productive on days off.... On Sunday we were both lazy lazy, but I did load the dishwasher, run a load of laundry and hang it up, and put away another load... H... absolutely nothing. Although, that happens so rarely for him that I didn't complain. :)

  • Helloooo Tuesday.  My Tuesday is just starting.

Yesterday I got some laundry done, and that's it.  I had really bad cramps when I got home so I just laid in bed and watches Sex in the City for a bit.

I'm looking forward to tonight because I'm doing Zumba.  I hope I kick a$$ at it, but it'll probably kick my a$$.

  • Tuesday...I don't like you either!

I've been in a funk since yesterday.
    Job related.

I'm snacking on some pretzles w/ laughing cow cheese (mozzarella, sun dried tomato and basil) - so yummy together!

  • I'm not sure about this Tuesday yet.

DH worked until 1 am last night and when he came home he still had to write. He has a bad cold and has been coughing non stop so after he finally came to bed I couldn't sleep and ended up sleeping on the couch. When I woke up he was already gone for work.

On the cleaning note. I just cleaned top to bottom the end of last week and today it looks like a tornado went through our house. Looks like my day will be spent cleaning again and then hopefully some baking (I am craving cinnamon rolls).

  • I'm with Shauni - having a similar problem.

I'm making cupcakes for a coworker's birthday tonight, so last night after dinner I ran out to get some supplies.  I'd already cooked and cleaned most of the dishes, and left a few for H.  I asked him to finish cleaning while I was gone, and take care of portioning out this tri tip (for freezing) that we got at Costco.  I get back, and he didn't do it.  Grr.

And this morning, he asks me if I could rinse out my cereal bowls in the morning.  Yesterday, ONCE, I left my bowl on the counter because the dishwasher was clean.  I seriously started laughing, because he can never seem to put his dishes in the dishwasher, so he's harping on ME about this?  Then he explains that he just has something with milk sitting in the bowl.  Which, whatever, sure, it's gross, but me having to pick up after him like I'm his mother?  That is much worse.

And I'm ovulating today or something so we still had to BIO (bang it out, for ladies not on the GP train).

  • Today's okay, I guess.  I started the day with a 3 hour meeting.  Ick.  Just scarfed my lunch and preparing for my performance review with my boss at 1:00.  I'm not sure what to expect, so I'm a little nervous.  K has an interview offer for a company in IL right now.  If my review doesn't go well, he's going to take the interview and we may be moving back to the mid-west.  I'm not sure how I feel about all of that right now...

  • I had a nice long weekend and now I'm back in the office, boo. At any rate, we had our home inspection yesterday for the house we're buying. All good except the roof is deemed unsafe (house is 27 yrs old and nobody bothered to replace it and whoever patched it up, did a crappy job) & there are a few minor things that we (H and I) can fix ourselves like adding more smoke detectors, fixing the dry rot in a small portion of the deck. Waiting to hear back to see what the lender will say about it (hopefully replace it). My agent knows what we'll give and take on so that's good. Keeping optimistic thoughts since we're too far into this with time and money that we'd hate to walk away or to push closing date.

And DH if off today, too windy to work on roofs so I think he'll be occupying his time with Halo and surfing the 'net.

Gosh do I know what you mean! Allen had never cooked me dinner in 7 years. He has never washed a dish in his life, never done a complete load of laundry (wash & dry), or gone grocery shopping by himself and only bout 3 times with me. He had the day off yesterday and he did nothing. Just ran around town with his brother. Then he gets home at like 5 and sits right in front of the TV and played XBox until 11 last night. And I am extra grouchy this week, so that made everything even worse. I asked him to take the dogs out and he said in a smart a$$ tone "sure no problem!!" then he slammed the recliner down and slammed the door on his way out. I was like ok I worked today and you did nothing and you can't take the dogs out. IDIOT!!

ah hahaha! MFD has a cow when I leave tupperware in the sink without rinsing it. Really mofo? I leave it in there for an hour, and you leave dishes and pans in there for DAYS if I don't do anything about them? Shut it UP.

I am irrationally pleased that I am not the only one dealing with this.
