TGT

I know it's Friday, but I wondered how everyone was doing with this, if anyone was still working out and maintaining a healthier lifestyle. I had a pretty good week, but yesterday was yoga on my exercise plan and I just couldn't force myself to do a 90 minute tape, half of which only causes me to fall over (and not actually accomplish).

Hopefully today will be better, and tomorrow is my favorite workout, Kenpo, so I should be okay through the weekend...

Re: TGT

  • It has definitely been a struggle! It is just so hard to get back in the routine once you fall off the wagon (at least for me).

I've managed to do something at least once a week on my worst weeks or up to 3 times/week on a decent week. But I was hitting the gym 5x/week, so I have to step it up!

  • We're in the same boat. DH and I bought a treadmill after we moved into the new place and are trying to use it 3-4 days a week. I'm in week two of the Couch to 5K program, and I'm hopeful it starts to pay off soon. Neither of us lost much weight before the wedding so now we are determined and focused!  J are you doing P90X?

  • I'm making the attempt.Today (Monday) is the easiest day, so I'm pretty good at knocking that video out. Some of the days are ridiculously hard and it gets discouraging. But I'm trying!

Keep on with the treadmill, I'm sure it will pay off soon!

  • I feel like this is the story of my life... trying to keep motivated and get myself to the gym!  Last week I went 3 times and ran/walked on the treadmill.  I would really like to do the C25K program too, I just haven't gotten started.  Maybe if I sign up for a 5K that will get me going.

I'm also starting tennis lessons! We were supposed to start last Monday, but the weather was awful and last night got canceled because of the rain, so we're trying to get started tomorrow.  I really enjoy playing tennis I'm pretty bad at it though, so hopefully this will help.

Just the thought of a bathing suit makes me cringe!! I've got to get going!

  • I fell off the eating right bandwagon after the wedding but I bought the Zumba DVD's with the toning sticks and started that Friday and have done them every night.  I really like them so hopefully this will be something I can stick to cause I am terrified to try on bathing suits but it wont be long till I have too.  UGH!!  Plus I want to look  nice and tone for when H gets back from Iraq! :)
