If I could only drink one thing for the rest of my life, it would be tea.  I like coffee and hot chocolate but I love tea with my whole heart.  Glad there is another tea girl on the board!

Re: *MA&CB*

  • Big Smile  I agree, it's my favorite beverage, hot or cold.  The electric kettle makes it so easy, and it's so nice to have a couple selections at my desk.  I remember you saying you buy a lot of nice teas, I can't remember where you said you get them?

  • I get my specialty teas from a place called Old Town Coffee, Tea and Spice in Alexandria, VA.  It is a super charming and old-fashioned shop crammed full of tea, coffee and accessories.  I wish they would open an online store so people out of the area could order from them!  I'll go to World Market (not sure if it's made its way to Maine yet) sometimes because they carry lots of Twinings and I love the Twinings Lady Grey.  But I buy quite a bit at the grocery store right now because I go through so much and the budget is tight.  Celestial Seasonings is my favorite herbal tea.  They do an awesome factory tour if you're ever in Boulder, CO.  What brands of tea do you like?
  • Lady Grey is my favorite!  That's the black tea I keep at my desk for the morning :)

  • I love tea too. My most recent favorite was Trader Joes Candy Cane green tea. I'm kicking myself for not buying more since it was only $2 a box and I could drink several cups of it a day.  It has a hint of vanilla and cinnamon which is very refreshing with the mint. I want to look at TJ and see if they have any other interesting flavors that are available year round.
  • I have a some jasmine tea and some mint-green tea from Trader Joe's that are both tasty.  The jasmine is really delicate and flowery.

  • thanks Megan, I'll have to try those.
  • The TJ Christmas tea sounds awesome!  I agree with Megan - the green mint tea at TJ's is pretty good.  I also like jasmine green tea - such a good combo!
