Are you ladies doing anything? Any gifts for DH?
I am anti-Valentine's Day, I don't think we are going to do anything or give gifts. My birthday is in two weeks, our anniversary is next month and DH may have to go back to Canada for a few days on the 15th for Free Agency. I so don't even care about this holiday, and I totally sound like a guy right now.

Re: Valentine's Day
This to a T. My birthday is 2 days before Valentine's Day so I never get flowers because the prices are astronomical, I've received Valentine's Day cards with things crossed out because there were no birthday cards in the store, if my birthday falls on a weekend (like this year) usually that is when resturants have their pre fixe menus so going out to eat at a nice place is out of the question, etc. I.HATE.VALENTINE'S.DAY!
I use Valentine's day as an excuse to have DH take me to some resturant that he normally wouldn't go for. That's about it. Last year we went to a German resturant and drank a bunch of beer. It was actually really fun.
Sorry you ladies dislike it so much.
We're staying home again this year. I don't see the point of paying astronomical prices for anything to "declare love" to someone. DH knows I love him and we show each other how all the time. We will, however, have a nice night at home with something chocolate for dessert.
I bought DH new slippers and a small ice cream scoop for him to use while making meatballs. Romantic, I know.
I have not-so-subtly hinted that a new (larger ring-size) ring would be a good idea. Nothing fancy and the etsy link I sent him was for one that was $25. I don't like having a naked finger and feel even more awkward with a belly and the funny looks I get from people while not out with DH.

Haha I'm still having this issue. My rings still don't fit and when I take the baby out I just know I'm being judged!
After 4 weeks of smaller paychecks, we are probably not going to do anything special for Valentine's Day. If Preston doesn't keep me up all night, maybe I'll have enough energy to cook something for hubby.
I'm not firmly in one camp or another when it comes to Valentine's Day. I don't see the point in going overboard, but it's fun to have an excuse to do something nice you wouldn't normally do. My birthday is right after Valentine's Day so I'm used to them being celebrated together too. It is a total pain.
That said, DH and I are sticking with the small and simple route. We set a $20 limit and said nothing extravagant. He is working that day and we're going to Disney for our Anniversary next month anyway so whey spend the $.
