Honduras

My MIL e-mailed us saying she thinks her and the fiance are buying a place in Honduras.  (to live...they're there right now). I believe the beach house/condo is in the Sandy Bay area--which I know nothing about.  I think it's Roatan island?

Has anyone been here? Is it nice?  I'm thinking there could be some cheap vacations in my future.

Squee!  I am excited to go visit, if they end up buying.  I am worried about Tyler though...he's not to pumped that his mom is moving out of the country.  She hardly sees us as it all, and this just kind of feels like another "eff all y'all, I'm marrying up!" situation to him. Sigh.  I'll have to talk up the beach some more.

Oh my gosh - it is so GREEN there. I know that is a weird thing to say but it is just so lush and tropical. The people that live there are really, really nice as well. The water is absolutely gorgeous - and there is a beautiful coral reef right off of the coast in the West Bay.

At one time, you could fly there direct from Houston but I am not sure if that is the case.

And I like your attitude. If she is going to move somewhere tropical, might as well take advantage of it!  Maybe you can talk her new rich fiancee into shelling out the bucks for your plane ticket too!

  • So I've never met T's mom... but she had better be ready for some uninvited house guests...  ;)
