As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

the weekly neighbor vent
Ok so tiny child who I punched the window at moved to another apartment farther away. Awesome. Problem is, he taught the other kids how to harass the cats. This little girl today is outside my window taunting them and hitting the window. She then grabs a tree branch, not a stick, a real fallen branch, and hits the window.
She's lucky the only thing I did was tell her to go away. I'm sure talking to her parents would lead to me being blamed somehow. I won't waste my time. Next time I see her parents smoking pot in their car in the middle of the day, I might think about giving the police a little call.
Lets face it, I'm the grumpy old cat lady who hates kids. But why would I like them when they act like this?

I'm sure your landlord/management would like to know if the child of one of their tenants is hitting windows with branches...
What is up with all the brat kids at your place? Yuck!
The landlady does know. There's been a bit of back and forth between my landlady, the neighbors, and me. She sides with me but tells me theres not much she can do but talk to the parents. She also will tell them to go away when she sees them over here.
One kid lives with his grandma because his mom is ??. She complained to my landlady about my cats and actually told her she thought I was a witch. The little girl from today is the one with the smoking-pot-in-the-car parents.

why do these kids find taunting these cats so fascinating?
If I knew I would know how to stop it! Probably because they have nothing better to do. I've never seen one of them with a toy. The only time I do anything about it is when they actually hit the glass. And I talk to them when I go outside, so I don't think its just to get my attention.
Yes! Scare them away! I'd be sooo mad at those brats!
