Though I'm sitting here in court, waiting for my case to be heard. I'm listening to motion argument. The wife is represented, the husband is not, and there's some issues about the kid & visitation.
Fine.
But this particular judge, who's a very nice guy, is the king of tangents. He veers so far from the case in front of him with anecdotal stuff about other cases he's had and stuff like, "Well, what if you have another kid?" (this to the wife who's in the midst of divorce and not even dating anyone else right now) and other sorts of weird scenarios that aren't actually happening in this case.
It's hilarious, and it reminds me of me a bit... but holy crow, it's 12:08 and court started at 8:30. Court is supposed to recess at 12:30 for lunch, and the morning calendar isn't even close to finished.
This is why we bring the laptop to court. I just finished a letter I needed to do to a client and emailed it to my work email so I can just print it on letterhead when I get back.
Re: Very hard not to roll my eyes...
Wi-fi and laptops...making court, airports and doctor's offices bearable since 2005. (I'm guessing on the 2005, I have no clue how long wi-fi has been around).
LOL, it's only been in the courts (and free) for a couple years. Long overdue, if you ask me.
And the judge is doing it again. He just quoted BB King.

YES!!!
Once I got my first wireless aircard it was like I was FREE from annoying waits. I was still waiting, but it was so much more convenient to multitask.
If only I could stop being such an aggressive typer.
