Fashion Advice

I found these two dresses at RueLaLa and I'm debating on getting one of them.  Not sure which one though.

The first one is $10 more than the second one.  I'd probably want to wear a cardigan with them at some point and I'm concerned I wouldn't be able to find a cardigan in the same color as the second one.

So, which one do you like better?

Re: Fashion Advice

  • I"m going with the 1st one.  I personally always have a problem with the bust on tops that cross over like the second one.  I also love black and white.
  • I think they're both cute.  If you're looking to wear it with a cardigan in the future though, I'd say go for the first one.
  • I guess I will be the different one and say dress number 2. It excites me for spring!
  • The first one is NMS.

I really like the second one though!  Personally the top would never work for my chest, but I really like the style.  And if you do end up going with that one, I'd definitely wear it with a different color cardigan!  Yellow or navy would be particularly cute and springish IMO.

That's a great idea!  Didn't even think of that.

I'm worried about the top on the 2nd one because I have a big chest.  I think I'd buy a size bigger though to hopefully help with that.

  • I think the first one is much cuter by itself. I agree with LB though, if you wear a cardigan with the second one definitely don't try to match the color. Do a different color and bring it together with accessories.

  • Out of the 2 I like dress #1 and I think you will have an easier time finding a light sweater (or wheatever) to waer over it if the weather is a bit chilly.  I would have picked dress #2 if it had a different top on it.

  • I really like them both, but I think #1 would be harder to dress down & I don't think I'd like it with a cardigan. I love #2, especially with LB's suggestion and it really makes me happy for spring! I think this one gives a bit more flexibility to dress up or down.

  • I'm in agreement on going with the 2nd one.  A cardigan might look awkward with the first dress because of the offset placement of the belt.  I think navy would be a great compliment to the bottom band of the 2nd dress.

  • Thanks ladies!  I ended up buying the second one.  I'll let you know how it fits when I get it.
