Where do you get your taxes done?
We are new to the Albany area and don't know where to go to get our taxes done. I haven't heard great things about H+R Block or those types of places .. any recommendations?

How complicated are your taxes? I did mine online for me and my H and he had school and unemployment to worry about. It took me some time (about 3 hours all told), but I didn't have to pay anyone.
But if you have a house or kids you may not want to do that, it may get more complicated with those things.
I don't know of any places specifically to get them done, but I would ring in with a 'no' for H&R Block. I used "Liberty" a few years back and they were ok. Just make sure you don't get the "refund loan" anywhere (sometimes called "instant refund" or something like that) -- they charge you for it (I don't know how much, but still) -- I'd rather just get mine all 10 days later than pay them to give it to me quicker.

I have an accountant because i own a business. I can send his information to you if you want. He is kind of quirky, but good and plays by the rules, which i love. I know if i ever get audited, my information will be on the up and up.
