Hi! I've been on a few times here and asked a few questions about relocating to the Tampa area. I got some great feedback. Thank you all who responded.
My husband, three year old son and I will be relocating in March to the New Tampa area in the Hunter's Key development. We will be brand new to the area and are looking for some tips or pointers on shopping, preschools, parks and any family-oriented activities in the area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

PAIF/SAIF/PGAL welcome
Welcome! Unfortunately I live on the other side of the county, so I'm not much help with that area. I do know that you shouldn't be far from Wiregrass which is a newer outdoor mall up in Wesley Chapel. It's very nice!
I bet you are glad to be leaving all that cruddy winter weather you have been having this year!
Welcome, neighbor
My husband, daughter, and I are just on the other side of the Interstate from you.
Let's see...there's a massive reconstruction project on BBDowns right now, so it's a bit of a mess, but it'll be so much better once that's over. Trafifc is relative, though, so you probably won't mind it here, lol.
As for daycare, you're in luck. There are several to choose from. On your side of I-75, there's a Bright Horizons, and closer to me there's another Bright Horizons (just opened), a Kindercare (that's where my DD goes), and a Primrose. Those are just a few; I know there are others. I can't say enough good things about Lily's center, I just love it.
For family stuff to do, there's a really nice YMCA that's close, and there are tons of parks. Your community probably has a pool, too. Lily and I go to the pool a lot in the summer. And there's the beach, of course, but that's not super close, obviously.
I recommend you get annual passes for Busch Gardens because it's so close. There's a lot of family stuff to do there, like the Sesame Street area where you can meet the characters, go on rides, etc., and the zoo. Lily loves the train :-)
There are also libraries and MOSI, the science museum. Getting further into Tampa, there's a ton of other stuff like the aquarium, children's museum, lots of parks, etc. There really are a lot of options for families around here. Good luck with your move!
My silly Lily is almost 4.
