Do you still go to Curves? (Or did you before you got pregnant?) If I recall correctly, you had been going religiously and made some good friends there, had some great weight loss success, etc.
I've been going for about a month, thanks to a Groupon. I like that I can do the circuit in 30 minutes and also feel like I at least use all of my major muscle areas, but I'm not sure ultimately if it's really an intensity that's going to work for me (my major trouble area is my thighs and I really want to target my lower half).
Would you mind refreshing me on your experience with the franchise? I wouldn't be opposed to signing up for membership after my Groupon expires, because the timing works for me...but it would be nice to hear that it works.

Great memory! Yes, I used to go from Curves from about 2001-2007. Loved it, I quit because I didn't like the new owners.
I lost a total of 75 pounds from Curves and WW. I found the workouts terrific and as long as I did 4 days a week, the results were terrific especially in my leg and arm area (I am shaped like a pear). I would totally go again but I just don't like the owners on the one I went too and that's the only one on my way home. My husband and I spent from 2007-2010 at the YMCA and loved their classes and we had a trainer. Both showed me great results so no complaints. If you like it and see yourself sticking to it, continue because it will show over time. Take advantage of their measuring because that will show some results too.
Yeah, it's funny the little things we remember!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am also a pear shape and just have decided I've had enough with my lower half. I haven't really been "feeling the burn" anywhere in particular so far, so it's nice to hear what your experience was. I really appreciate the feedback! I'll have to do some more evaluating and decide if it's really something I can commit to. So far, nothing has stuck for me.
