V-day - Something besides dinner
Typically I cook a nice dinner for valentines day. I know restaurants are crammed, and I just like to stay out of the whole commercial part of the day.
I'm remodeling my kitchen and so we cannot do dinner. What are some other ideas to make it special but not hallmark special? ( i don't like just buying gifts)
Is there a good sex game I can buy for us or something romantic I can do. We both work and he'll be home late that night.

For my husband and I...our 'romantic' ideals are often just having a day of relaxation! I, too, think going to dinner on v-day would ruin this relaxation vibe with the crowds and whatnot. What about something like...take-out picnic + a movie to snuggle together on the couch!
Im craving chinese food, but obviously follow your own stomach...you're both going to have to eat anyway! Serve him and yourself on your nice plates, set the table, laugh, relax, chill, watch a movie, and sigh in lazy pleasure!
Maybe thats just our idea of a perfect stress-free day, but we love to do it occasionally!
I have a wonderful idea for you! Hopefully it's not too late to get it. First of all, order dinner, chinese, thai, sandwiches, whatever you two are into...
Then...there is this game called "A Hot Affair wth Your Partner" you can order it online for sure, overstock has it, buy.com has it...just google it. In the game you move around the board and pick up cards. There are three levels, be prepared to strip, dance, kiss, use food (have things like ice and whipped cream in the house), and drink. It gets a bit more intimate as you move through the game. Finally, each of you get two fantasy cards and the person who wins (goes around the board first, if you get that far) gets to pick the one that you act out. Great game for newlyweds and will make a very memorable V-day!
