NOLA- How did your appt go?

What did your dr say about the contractions? If you don't mind sharing, if you'd rather not that's fine too...

Thanks, I saw it, was just wondering if there was more elaboration then 'don't cook' from the Dr

  • I'm posting from my phone so bear (bare?) with me here. Also there's some TMI here. Hah.

So yeah went to my appt yesterday, doc checked me and said while I'm not dilated she could have put her finger through the cervix and opened it to about 1cm. But she didn't because, well duh, we don't want that. So my cervix is very soft right now which can be normal for a second + time mom but it's not a good sign this early (32 wks). So she basically put me on modified bed rest I guess you can call it. No cooking, nocoeaning, no grocery or any shopping unless it's online, limited walking, avoid lifting whenever possible (which is hard with a 1 yr old but still limit as mug as possible). If I go anywhere be sure there is seating available and sit as soon as I get there. This is for the next 4 weeks so we can hopefully get to 36 weeks. I have another appt next week.

So then I come home and proceed to puke my guts up all night. Throwing up when you're 8 month pg = seriously terrible Doc isn't worried. Says it's probably a 24 hr bug. I am feeling better today just weak and very light headed. Trying to stay hydrated and rest. Thankfully J is home today. Add to that the contractions (Braxton hicks?) I was having last night too. I am just miserable. Baby is fine tho. Sounded good at my visit and has been moving like crazy.

And lol at myself because it has taken me about an hour and a half to finish this post cause I feel so shitty.
  • And yesterdays post in the menu Monday post was prob about 5 minutes before I started feeling so bad. That's why it was a post and run haha
  • Holy cow! I'm sorry you got so sick, that sounds absolutely miserable!

I'm glad you're not dialated yet, but I hope you spend some serious time fattening that kid up in the next few weeks because it sounds like you're not making it to your EDD! My sis had to have surgery when my nephew was 1 and wasn't supposed to lift him for 4 weeks, yeah right! I mean I get why they say it and why you're not supposed to, it just seems completely impossible.

Is J going to be able to take over shopping, cooking duties, etc?
