Hello out there?
It's been dead in here lately!
I've been crazy busy with work lately. Ever since I spoke w/ the boss man amd his "vision" for me I have been uber productive and busy (busy bc I am now in like every freaking meeting) and his right hand person when he's traveling!
Besides that, I am doing good. I definitely feel soft all over from not working out as much and not a big fan of the newer back fat I think I have. Never ever ever have I had this, so I am not thrilled. Luckily I have the energy to go to the gym today. My goal is at least 30 minutes of cardio + weight lifting/strength training.
I also need to call the dentist ASAP. I had gum surgery (crown lengthening) this past summer and I feel like the gum is growing back and it's kind of freaking me out. I also need a teeth cleaning.
Super exciting, huh???
How's everyone doing? What's going on?
Re: chirp chirp chirp
I went on maternity leave yesterday! So today is officially day 2 of being off. I'm hoping baby stays put for four weeks so I can enjoy a little R&R before his arrival! Considering I've taken 5 vacation days in the past year and a half, I think this is a well deserved break!
DH & I are starting a major kitchen renovation the end of March. I've been spending lots of time with our contractor and kitchen designer. We ordered our cabinets yesterday and I'm so excited:)
It has been so quiet here. I'm hoping it starts to pick up.
BTW have you signed up for all the baby coupons yet? You may want to start when you have time. I'm getting TONS of coupons right now that will be a huge helped. I signed up on all the formula sites (even though I'm hoping to BF-figured I can always pass along) and huggies, pampers, etc. I totally suggest you taking the time to do this.
Thanks. Some yes, some no.
I want to set up a separate email for this and I am not planning on signing up for majority of them until the very end of the pregnancy. Just my own craziness!
I can't believe you're already on leave. Time flew!
I'm around but I think I get the next two days off this week...
So, can we have pictures of the kitchen????? I'm curious.
I have been pretty swamped at work. The program I took over is starting a strategic planning/revamping process and I'm trying to organize focus groups. I also just sent a proposal to the county to get them to use excess funds for mental health on acupuncture treatments for their clients. Interesting! I'm also planning our gala for October.
I'm helping two of my friends with their wedding planning...I'm a bridesmaid in one of the weddings and we're attempting to plan her bachelorette party. I am a little annoyed with the whole process because we are now talking about an all day event that concludes with a slumber party at one woman's house. I never liked spending the night at people's houses when I was little and now that I am married with a child I really don't want to. My friend has already expressed to me that she does not want me to miss a single event of the day (after I told her I might have to sneak out for a bit to go to my nephews' birthday parties in the afternoon). I'm starting to not look forward to it, which is really too bad.
I finally got over the stomach flu on Monday. I'm back to eating normal. Unfortunately we're still having sleep issues with the baby so I'm not getting much more sleep than I was when I was getting up all night because I was sick. We go to the doctor for her well child visit on Friday and I'm hoping she has some advice for me that doesn't include CIO.
There is about to be an influx of babies on this board! I really can't believe that this wave of pregnancies is coming to the final stage. I am so excited to hear everyone's updates with their little ones.
As soon as we start renovations I will post. We aren't starting until end of March. Right now we are just ordering and getting city approvals & plans! I'm so excited!
What have I been up to? Changing diapers, feeding, pumping (I now have a closer relationship with my pump than my own husband - boo!) and attempting to get sleep in there...
Alyssa - I can't believe your almost to 40 weeks! Yay for you having that extra time off, enjoy it!
It's been a rough week. I've been so sick - spending most of the morning choking down whatever I can eat and otherwise lying on the sofa in misery. Nate's only taking one nap, early afternoon, so once DH goes to work, I'm keeping him entertained. DH is off today, though, so I've gotten kind of a break.
I've been very busy at work and really only have time to post at night.
Nothing much going on. We are going on a cruise early March to the Bahamas...so that's exciting!
hey ladies! i've been checking in almost daily. nothing really new or exciting here. just living the non-pregnant life. DH's 2 best friends wives called in 1 week and told us they are expecting. every time i talk to my dad and say anything resembling "guess what?" he finishes my sentences with "you're pregnant?" UGH!
work is keeping me busy and i am trying to avoid getting the flu from the people in my office
i have 2 trials coming up so that's exciting.
congrats to everyone who have recently birthed or are about to birth.
carry on and i will continue to lurk
I'm here! Usually at night now. Being in the office sucks donkey butt. I can get on from there but I feel pretty guilty about it.
DH has been coming into work at 3 until about 8, and I'm kind of pissed at him about it. That's only 4 hours! He's supposed to be working full time. 20 hours a week is definitely not full time. That will barely cover his insurance and the freaking gas to get there. He applied to some jobs closer to where we live, so I'm really hoping he gets some interviews. This is just so not working out.
Tomorrow is my second day seeing clients on my own. The last one is at a restaurant I've never been to, but we have to order food when we meet at restaurants so I'm excited about a good lunch! The company comps me, so yay free food!
