Where do you buy your jeans? What brands do you wear? What price range are they in?
I'm having the hardest time finding a plain pair of bootcut or flare jeans I can wear to work. Most of the pairs I find are either skinny, are distressed, or huge designs stitched on the pocket. Fine for going out, but not appropriate for wearing to the office. I usually shop in the juniors section since I don't have curvy hips for many women's pants styles, but I think I may have to start.
Re: jeans
I started buying Old Navy jeans again and LOVE them. I was able to wear a pair of dark wash to work one day - mine don't have designs on them, and they actually fit me.
A lot of my friends wear jeans from Gap, too - haven't gotten around to finding a pair there yet.
I've heard good things about Miss Me jeans, but I have no experience with them.
Jeans are really hard for me to find because I need extra length, smaller waist, but to fit my curvy booty. I am cheap and never spend over $35 for a pair. I shop at Kohls, JCP, and F21.
JCP is having their red tag sale, I bought 3 pairs of jeans for $5 each the other day, all work/casual appropriate.
Can you wear the regular long length ones that you can buy in the store? If so, I am jealous! I have a pair of those but they drive me nuts because they're not quite long enough. I have two pairs of talls I ordered online and they are the perfect length, but I hate buying clothes without being able to try them on.
I'd love to find a place locally where I could buy jeans that are long enough that aren't super expensive (which to me means less than $40 a pair). My mom has some that she loves from JC Penney (I think they're the Levi Slender Secret) but they never have them in my size when I go.

I can - barely. They're right at the perfect length...if I was an inch or two taller, they'd be too short. I quit wearing ON jeans in high school because they were never long enough, and I'm like you - I hate buying clothes without being able to try them on first. But now that their long version is actually long enough, I can wear them. Do you buy their other clothes in talls or just the jeans?
I have never heard of maurices.
I bought some Gap jeans recently. Not bad for $15 after alterations. But to be honest, I don't like jeans.
I'm on the petite side, but I do have hips. Old Navy jeans do not fit me well at all because they gap at the waist.
Have you looked at Gap, BR, or JCrew? They all have simple bootcut jean styles. I've had luck with all three places for years.
Gap jeans tend to run $40-60, and BR/JCrew seem to be anywhere from $60-90.
I think you and I are about the same height, but maybe I am just a bit longer in the legs and shorter in the torso. Or maybe they made the longs at ON longer since I last went in a store - might have to check that out. I haven't tried any of the other clothes in tall, but I might try a shirt sometime. It would be nice to be able to wear a long-sleeve shirt and not have to pull the sleeves up to 3/4 because they're too short (although I probably would anyway because it's become such a habit. lol.).
