On quick w/ 3-day potty training update

Doing great. Last 3-4 times, she's run to the bathroom w/o any prompts. And, yes, we're doing the nighttime training too. Woke up dry this morning. Only 2-3 accidents today, all this morning. Yesterday, she finished #2 in the potty. Haven't gone #2 today, yet. I'm a believer in this system now!!!

PS -- is there anyone who could use some 2-3T girls' pull-ups? I've got some nearly full packages, and they'll be free to whoever wants them!!!!!!

  • yay! Go Shannon!

I'm going to talk to my pediatrician at ben's 2.5 year appointment and see what he says. Ben is a tough one - no interest, afraid to sit on potty w/o diaper on. Ugh. And I don't push at all, it's him saying "sit on the potty" but he'll only do it with a diaper on.

  • I'm so glad it is working!  I think I was the one who originally had the e-book and emailed it off to a bunch of you ladies, but I have not used it myself... yet.

We're hoping to start it as soon as DH finishes his travel season.

If no one has claimed the pull ups, I would love them!

  • YEAH! I knew she could do it!

  • That's awesome!  Good Girl S!

How old is she again?  I wonder if I should do it at the 22 month age or just wait a bit until she is 2?  I don't want to push her.

  • Shannon is 2 years, 9 months. I think with Kyle, I'll likely end up waiting until he turns two, and ideally, I'll be potty training him in warmer months. I have more than a year to go though. I'll see how "ready" he is when the time actually comes.

I probably could have potty trained S as early as 22 months, but I wasn't ready. And with me being 7 months pregnant and very nauseous at that time, I just couldn't do it. She definitely showed all the signs of true readiness that early.

  • Oh, and I know that this is a 3-day potty training method, but we're going to be doing at least one more day following the program to the T. She still hasn't gone #2 on the potty yet (yesterday was pretty good, but she started in her underwear, and she didn't go at all today). And, she still has too many slightly-more-than-just-damp underwear for me to put her in pants. I'd be changing her pants A LOT due to being wet, and I don't have quite enough potty-friendly pants for that right now.

But, definitely add me to the list of moms who see how this method works!
