why is making a doctor's appointment so hard??
Seriously!! I don't understand why it should take more than 2 minutes. It shouldn't take THIRTY minutes. They needed all my insurance info- over the phone!
I tried to make appointments with my old doctors (internest and OB/GYN)... but... since it's been more than 2 years since I've seen them (b/c I moved out of state), I am considered a new patient. Fine... when is the next available appointment? May 20th? Seriously?
Ugh- I bit the bullet and made it for then, and put my name on a waitlist for an earlier appointment in case someone cancels.
Re: why is making a doctor's appointment so hard??
I miss the employee health clinic at Ohio State! They were amazing. Walk in acute care appointments every morning, and regular appointments with that same doctor in the afternoons. She was great!
I ended up asking around at work and getting an appointment with an internist this Friday, who is affiliated with a different hospital than the OB/Gyn. MUCH better than 3 months. However, thinking forward a year or year and a half... the hospital that the OB/Gyn is affiliated with is a better hospital.
