DC GTG gals, how was it?
I'm sorry I missed out on the fun, but my friend had to visit her sisters who were in school in McLean. We didn't have any time to do much of anything between all of the running around we did during the day.
With that said, we had a blast at OYA, some Japanese/fusion place on 9th and U I think. We went out to Jin and a few other places after that, but it turned kinda creepy...

Re: DC GTG gals, how was it?
The gtg was GREAT, sorry you weren't able to make it. The ladies that were able to come were so nice, charming and fun! It was interesting that we were a table of strangers yet there were no awkward moments and the conversation flowed easily. Completely irrelevant and shallow observation, and I didn't let Meredith take pics to prove it, but we have some really pretty women on E08. And our smallest E08er, LilLaLa, was absolutely adorable. My favorite part was Gypsy running into someone she knew and trying to figure out a way to not have to refer to us as her "internet friends", lol!
I really hope we can get together again!
Aw, I'm so sad that I missed it. Funny that you mention Gypsy having to explain how she knows you ladies. I had a tough time trying to get my girls to understand how I met you ladies. Once I broke down and said that I know you through the Nest, they all gave me that alarmed look. My friends are paranoid about internet stuff already, so you can only imagine what they were thinking when I mentioned wanting to go with up with you.
Why no pics?
lol, we were talking at the gtg that ML has had some interesting experiences posting pics from gtgs, so I am a little camera shy. Had Meredith agreed to photoshop them to my liking I would have been game, lol.
I don't believe you need any photoshopping! I read Meredith's post about how great everyone looked and that you are NOT chunky. Is that why you have no wedding/kid pics besides the one in your siggy?
What happened with the pics from ML? Crap, now I am paranoid about my bios.
Aww man I hate I missed it but my hair is tiZZIGHT! I'm prematurely gray (started graying at 16!) and I have this cruella de ville thing going on at the front so I've been doing color rinses for years, but my stubborn and determined to be seen gray roots start showing so quickly that I was touching it up at home at least once a week. The only other time I got permanent color all my hair fell out (right before I was supposed to be in a wedding!) and it was traumatic so I've been afraid to try again, but now that my hair is natural my stylist said we could do it. Apparently only one chemical at a time on my hair.
Anyways if there is more getting together, I will make it my business to be there.
we had a blast! jalj, jflute and bunny we missed you guys! but we'll do it again. and jflute, so glad the hair turned out fly.
yo, i was completely caught off guard when i saw my friend and her mom seated a table away from us. i wanted to introduce her, but since we all just met, i couldn't remember peeps real names. imagine .. .hey, these are my nestie friends: marriednow, floridahoya etc etc.. lol, and i'm rarely tongue tied. it was a trip.
Well, you were so quiet and well-behaved. LOL
I looked for a group of loud women to no avail so I figured you guys must be it or you had all left already.
I had a great time, too. So did LLL.
And I agree - damn, everyone looked good. I felt a little like the suburban mom but with the rain, I knew it was a lost cause to try to do anything with my hair. You guys looked like quite the power lunch. :-D
man it's hard to keep up with 2 boards - how do you do it?
and as i said on E08, thank you all so much for such good convo, swirly margaritas and making my first meeting of internet friends so easy. i had a blast and i'm looking forward to doing it again. hopefully in the not-too-distant future (read: january!).
