I need a pair of boots. But where?

I need a pair of black, professional ankle boots that I can wear with pants to work that have heels no greater than 2 inches, preferably a thick heel. I have a pair I love, but they need to be replaced. I would love to find a brand that's comfy like Naturalizer or whatever. I can't find any online I like in my price range. I've tried Zappos, Macy's, JCPenney... where else can I try?

  • On a side note, aren't these ugly?

  • What is your price range? I had a pair from Clarks exactly like you described that I loved and wore the heck out of for two winters. I think they were around $80 on sale but totally worth it if you ask me. They are such good quality, really comfortable and last a long time. Clarks has a lot of sales so check them out.

You could try the sales at Nordstrom's too. They carry great shoes and you can find decent deals during their sales (not sure when the next one is), especially now that they're probably trying to get rid of what boots they have left before spring.

    Yes.

  • DSW, Kohls, Nordstrom...Nordstrom rack?

  • For online shopping you could also try Shoebuy, Piperlime, Shoes.com, or 6pm (though the latter doesn't have free returns).

Good luck, I feel like I'm looking for the type of boot you describe all the time!  Except that I typically like something that's a minimum of 2".  I'm constantly needing to replace whatever ones I have, it seems.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball
