This girl is insane.

But in a good way--I would kill for her to make my lunch!  The variety is astounding.  I think she makes it for her husband on the daily in a cute bento box.  Adorable.

I would even look past the fact that there was no meat in there...maybe.

  • I look at this blog alot. Love it! Even if it is vegetatian. It always looks delicious to me. DH would have to have some type of meat in his meals.

  • I've seen her over on H&F before. She is crazy. I wish I could be cool like her. Stick out tongue
  • I also follow this blog. I'm intrigued and may even try out one of the soups she posted recently. However the whole "organic vegan local nuts picked by angels from the CSA" thing seems kind of pretentious. Not that she's eating that way, that she feels the need to spell it out, if ya know what I mean.
  • I just bookmarked this blog...I love her use of local foods! Color me inspired, man.
  • I have seen this blog before but didn't have it bookmarked.  I am adding it to my Reader now.  She has some soups that look AWESOME.  I'm also interested to see what kind of stuff she has in the spring and summer, since we really need more meals to add to our rotation for that time of year.

I never would have thought a few years ago that I could handle a mostly vegetarian diet, but I really enjoy the meals in our monthly rotation.  I typically only eat meat maybe 4 or 5 times a month, when we go to someone else's house or when we go out to eat.  I really don't miss it on a day to day basis.  I used to always order meat when we went out, but now I sometimes order vegetarian stuff just because it really sounds better than meat.

  • That's so awesome. I'll start checking in on her blog, definitely. Some of that stuff looks so good!

  • I've been following her blog and love it! I am a "semi-vegetarian" (if you wanna call it that) because I only eat chicken. Her recipes are very filling!
  • You all will probably get tired of me soon because I just mailed in my membership info and fee to the Oklahoma Food Co-op and will be purchasing locally grown and raised meat, veggies, and dairy.

I will definitely not be going vegetarian, though. However, I think I will feel a lot better about eating locally raised, grass-fed and pastured meat and chicken, and organic veggies and fruits.

I've been thinking about joining for a while, but I haven't decided yet. Let me know what you think in a few months.

  • She's from around Columbus, Ohio and her blog always makes me miss all of the great food source options there. It was SO easy to eat sustainably and locally there. *Sniff!*
