At what point to you go to the doctor?
Hey, just curious at what point you all go to the doctor with cold/flu symptoms.
I always seem to go when I don't need to or when things get REALLY bad and I end up diagnosed with several "____ituses" and a huge dose of antibiotics.
Re: At what point to you go to the doctor?
I go to the doctor if I have a fever that lasts longer than 24 hours or if I have a cold/flu that lasts longer than 5 days. Viruses take 5 to 7 days to run their course and they can't give you anything for a virus so that's why I wait so long.
Are you sick Millie?

MY BLOG!
Can I just say how much I hate our health care system? It's so sad that we (Americans) think twice about going to the doctor because of our insurance.
**Hopping off my soap box**
For the flu, I usually just take tons of vitamins, drink lots of water and try to get at least 8 hours of sleep at night. I hope you feel better soon!!
Agreed!
That's my method too. Thanks for the well wishes!
MY BLOG!
Last week I got in a phone altercation with my insurance company about my birth control pills and me skipping my period and them saying it was too soon and I would have to wait 4 days to pick them up.... I don't think THEY should have control over WHEN I have my period. Give me my damn pills before I rip your head off....

Sorry you're sick Michelle! Rest, lots of rest helps. Hot tea with lemon and honey, and if you are that miserable go to the doctor and get antibiotics. And don't let them give you crap how it's a long winter and to only take them if you really need to....just take them and feel better.
You are too funny.
MY BLOG!
Oh, I am so sorry...
Thank you for the wisdom.
