update on the condo.......

We took the plunge and are just going to accept her offer (since it was her final and not sure when we'll get another at this point in this economy/market).  I'd rather be done with it.

Cheers to losing 20K and being rid of it!!!!  ok, not funny.  But I'm just going to pray the rest of the process runs smoothly!!!

Closing would be 12/8.

At least I'll get a HUGE tax break on this mo fo.  Peace out and hope this chick likes the place!!!!

Re: update on the condo.......

  • I'm sorry you are losing the money but like you said at least you'll be rid of it and get a tax break :)

  • Like my mom used to say, sometimes no amount of money is worth your sanity or your stress. Here's to hoping things go smooth for you guys.  I know it's definitely going to be a HUGE weight lifted off
  • I'm sorry it's not what you wanted but at least there is a silver lining and a tax break!  I will keep sending up prayers for you :)

  • Well, I'm glad you got if off your hands.  It's better than not :-/.  Congrats on the sell!
  • Congrats, Katie!  I know it's not exactly what you were hoping for, but like pp said, it's not worth your sanity!  ;)

Yay for the tax break!  :)

  • Thanks girls.  No not exactly the ideal situation I wanted to be in, but yes, I'm getting rid of it.

I will get to write off the loss on the sale, her commission, the moving expenses, any expenses associated w/the sale, etc.  Sweet on that part.

It's almost a bitter sweet deal.  And we'll be able to save, and move on.

  • Congrats! Glad you are selling! I know it's not at the price you want but like you said you'd get  huge tax break!

  • Congrats!  I know it's not what you wanted, but at least the weight on your shoulders is lifted.  And yay for the tax break!
    Siggy coming soon....
  • Yay for not having to worry about it anymore!!
  • Congrats! And even though it's not the price you wanted for it, think about what it would cost to keep the condo on the market and keep paying mortgage on it for several more months.

Plus, now you can move on and start focusing on all the other things you want to do! yay!

  • I know it's not the perfect offer you were wanting, but at least you don't have the burden of having to pay for it each month and you and Brad can start looking towards the future!  (will there be a baby aubie anytime soon???) hehehe

    Love ya girl!

  • Sorry it's not exactly what you wanted..I know are you glad to be moving on though!
  • ha ha Sarah.  No little aubie anytime soon.  We have to get the furniture moved, figure out if we are going to stay here, sell Brad's house, blah blah blah.  We'll start TTC in the spring I think.........we'll see.  I'm to stressed right now to even think about it.

The home inspection was yesterday and there were VERY minor things - my agent said she thinks they'd be $100 or less in repairs - WOO HOO!!!

I signed the contract and it's being faxed right now - things are progressing.  I have already signed up for a storage unit and am researching movers (one of which is our own Celeste - not her literally but her co, ha ha)

Thanks for all the support girls!!!!
